"A Double Portion"

2 Kings 2:9

And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”

Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

"If you are mourning the loss of one of your leaders, do not despair. God has another leader, for He will see that His will is carried out. it may even be that He has been preparing you to be that leader." (Experiencing God Day by day devotional, page 211).

20:24-28: SEE AND READ AND NOTES ON LUKE 22:24-27: "FOR MANY" (v. 28): In Aramaic means "FOR ALL"!!!

22:24-27: THIS SMALL-MINDED DISPUTE: is out of place in the context of the mysteries Christ has just revealed: He corrects the disciples by comparing them to the power-hungry GENTILES, whom they themselves considered an abomination, and then contrasting them to Himself, who SERVES us even though He is Lord of all!!!

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
