James 5:13-18- "The Work of Faith": "HEALING"
We see in vv. 13-18: The Power of healing ❤️🩹 that is within the Church.
vv. 16-18: We see a Biblical standard in v. 16: " [a]Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, [b]fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." Some say that confessing your sins to a priest is not Biblical, that is simply not the case. In Psalm 50(51): The Prophet Nathan came to King David at the time he went to Bathsheba, there King David repented and confessed his sins.
James 5:19-20- "Restoration of Apostates"
The closing of James 5 gives us insight of how powerful the work of faith when it comes to restoring apostates, those who have completely rejected the truth.
Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
