Morning Reflection: “Don’t Give Up”

Good morning... Great is His faithfulness...

Proverbs 24:10-16

If you faint in the day of adversity,Your strength is small.

11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.12 If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

13 My son, eat honey because it is good,And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste;14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul;If you have found it, there is a [a]prospect,And your hope will not be cut off.

15 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous;Do not plunder his resting place;16 For a righteous man may fall seven timesAnd rise again,But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

(vv. 10-12): Is talking about Evangelism - (Orthodox study Bible reads a little different see video for that): EVANGELISM- RESCUES - (DELIVER) THOSE - (WHO ARE) - BEING LED - (DRAWN) INTO DEATH, AND SAWS - (hold back those stumbling to the slaughter) -OFF THEIR BONDS, and DOES NOT SPARE THEM HELP ... The evangelist does not need to know anyone before they evangelizes them ... FOR -(HE) THE LORD KNOWS - (WEIGHS) the hearts of all - (considers it- the heart), for He formed every breath and knows all things ... At our LORD's Second Coming, HE WILL RENDER TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS ...

RIGHTEOUSNESS see v. 16 is one of the general virtues of Wisdom, and Hecmakes righteous all,who believe in Him ... Of course this person is not yet perfect, but will always repent and choose instruction- (v. 37 from orthodox study Bible) , when he falls into sin ... but evil the ungodly shall weaken in evils or calamity, and they have no need for repentance and salvation...

According to the commentary of the Orthodox Study Bible, HONEY is the teaching of Wisdom - (CHRIST), and when it is eaten, it sweetens the soul ... "He uses 'honey' figuratively, meaning divine doctrine, which restores the spiritual knowledge of the soul ..." - (Hippol) ...

2 Peter 3:14

Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Don't give up be diligent because we find peace in Him ...

Galatians 6:9

 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

This is a good reminder for us all to never give up on doing good regardless how stressful it is at times push forward with the mission, our mission is in Christ...

Hebrews 10:36

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Our faith and journey in Christ is a marathon not a sprint it's a life of endurance and overcoming all trials and tribulations ...

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

THE DOCTRINE of the resurrection has a practical consequence: it is to move us to do the works that God would have us do, THE WORK OF THE LORD...

Ecclesiastes 7:8

The end of a thing is better than its beginning;

The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

This verse speaks for itself it doesn't matter where you start it only matters where you finish ... So finish up string in Christ Jesus my brothers and sister in Christ, because this produces the patient in spirit which is better than the proud in spirit...

(Additional readings- 1 John 3:9-22 - "Love one another" - Mark 14:10-42- "Judas betrays Jesus and the Last Supper" ) ...

Questions to consider from the devotional see my video for the answers I gave ...

Do I have a healthy respect for the power of perseverance???

When I am discouraged, do I ask God to give me strength???

Do I associate with people who encourage me to be courageous, optimistic, energetic, and persistent???

"We don't give up ... We look up ..

We trust ... We believe...

And our optimism is not hollow ...

Christ has proven worthy ...

He has shown that He never fails ...

That's what makes God, God ..."

NUMBERS 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
