Morning Reads: “The Unknown God???”- “Father Pass This Hour (Cup) From Me”- “Sons of Light…”

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness. Christ is in our midst...

Greek word of the day- ἱερουργέω hierourgéō, hee-er-oorg-eh'-o; from a compound of G2411 and the base of G2041; to be a temple-worker, i.e. officiate as a priest (figuratively):—minister. Look another sign that I'm to pursue the ministry, and it's time for me to fully prepare myself for Orrhodox Seminary. It's been on heck of a ride so far, and I'm now ready to see another "DOOR" our gracious Lord has opened up for me, we live to do Hiw Will, His purpose not ours.

Romans 15:16

that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 17:19-28- "THE INSCRIPTION OF THE UNKOWN GOD"

St. Paul always had an approach to preach in a manner that was familiar with his hearers. When Paul preached to the Jews, he preached from the OT- (vv. 2, 3). With these GENTILES, Paul uses one of their altars to proclaim Christ- (see v. 23), and he emphasizes- God is Creator of all; God is Giver of all life, God desires all people to seek Him; repentance is way toward God; God is Judge of all; God raised Jesus from the dead- (see also ACTS 14:15-17).

John 12:19-36- "DYING TO THIS WORLD"

See v. 27: "Father save me from this hour (or pass the "cup")? Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, He is showing us part of Hid humanity. Our Lord loved His disciples very much and this shows us the essence of struggle, but in the end do the Will of our Father in heaven, because it's a much better reward- that is eternal life.

See v. 35-36- THE LIGHT REFERS TO CHRIST- His teaching teaching us a few things here, Christ first, could be completing His public ministry shortly. Our lives are very limited; we have but a short time to repent and BELIEVE in Christ before death. Lastly, His Second Comimg is but a LITTLE WHILE if we were to compare it to ETERNITY.

"Be Sons of Ligh, shine and reflect the greatness of Christ in all we do."

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
