Morning Reads- Acts 3:11-16; John 3:22-33; & Psalm 26(27)- “The Lord is my Light, My Salvation…”

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Greek word of the day- ἵνα hína, hin'-ah; probably from the same as the former part of G1438 (through the demonstrative idea; compare G3588); in order that (denoting the purpose or the result):—albeit, because, to the intent (that), lest, so as, (so) that, (for) to. Compare G3363.

Matthew 26:41

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Note: Every Friday will now be prophecy Friday, I will cover scriptures related to the Second Commmg of Christ. Please any suggestions in the comments section of both YouTube and Rumble.

Psalm 26(27):1,2

The Lord is my light and my savior.

Verse: The Lord is the defender of my life.

The reading is from Acts of the Apostles 3:11-16 - I also read to the end of Acts chapter 3 for further discussion and a deeper look into scripture.

See v. 11- Solomon's Porch was the temple area.

I finished up ACTS 3- Peter's sermon clarifies key truths about Jesus- (1): He reveals the identity of Jesus, by whose POWER the lame man was healed. He (Christ) is God's SUFFERING SERVANT (v. 13), THE HOLY ONE (v. 14) of God, THE PRINCE OF LIFE (v. 15), the Christ was foretold by the prophets (v. 18). (2)- And as prophesied, Christ was rejected, the leaders had Him KILLED (v. 15). But God raised Jesus from the dead, and the apostles are WITNESSES to the RESURRECTION -(v. 15. (3)- The rejection of CHRIST shows us the ignorance of God's saving activity (vv. 18-20). (4)- The only saving response the people can make is to REPENT AND BE CONVERTED (v. 19), this done through a radical shift of one's mind and heart. (5)- The rewards of the conversion include forgiveness of sins, renewal, and also confidence in the glorious Secomd Coming of Christ (vv. 19-26).

John 3:22-33- The Preaching of John the Baptist

See vv. 22; 26: BAPTIZED (v. 22)- HE IS BAPTIZING (v. 26)- John 4:2: (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples).

See v. 29- John the Baptist is called friend (the best man)- Christ Himself is THE BRIDEGROOM, THE BRIDE IS THE CHURCH, the people of God.

John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease." - John expresses humility and this should be an example for all of us to follow. Allowing Christ to INCREASE in him, it's there John finds true glory. FUN FACT: John's declaration is revealed in the liturgical calendar, his birth talking about John the Baptist, birthday is celebrated when the sun decreases in the sky (June 24),Christ birth is celebrated when the sun increases -(December 25).

Psalm 26(27)

This is a Psalm by David; before he was anointed. See my teaching video for reading and discussion.

"If your every human plan and calculation has miscarried, if, one by one, human props have been knocked out, take heart. God is trying to get a message through you, and the message is: "Stop depending on inadequate Human Resources. Let Me handle the matter."

Catherine Marshall

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
