Morning Readings:(John20:11-18;Hebrews6:13-20;Mark 9:17-31) Christ “Bridegroom “ & “Mary Magdalene”

Welcome back. Great is His faithfulness.

First reading is from Hebrews 6:13-20

Psalm 75.11,1

Make your vows to the Lord our God and perform them.Verse: God is known in Judah; his name is great in Israel.

The promise that wade to Abraham was a son, a heir through whom God would greatly MULTIPLY him see v. 14. THE TWO IMMUTABLE THINGS is seen in v. 17 is God's promise and God's oath - v. 17. So what's behind the veil, behind the veil s heaven see v. 19- read Hebrews 9:1-5 and explain earthly sanctuary and liturgy.

V. 20: MELCHIZEDEK: let's see Hebrews 5:10; according to the Orthodox Study Bible the author picks up the argument. Talking about qualifications for priesthood and Aaron and Melchizedek.

Second Reading Mark 9:17-31

"O Faithless Generation"

Third Reading is from John 20:11-18

There is a parallel with this encounter of our Risen Lord and Mary Magdalene to a reading from SS 3:1-4 talking about a bride and her beloved. This parallel is used to teach that through the Resurrection, Christ has taken the Church to be His eternal Bride - (see John 2:1-11- the first sign at Cana, see Ephesians 5:22-33- the mystery of marriage, & see Revelation 21:9-10- The new Jerusalem).

In Christ love Jared
