Morning-Mt 22:15-46; Mt 23:1-39; Mt 24:36-51; Mt 25:1-46; & Mt 26:1-2- We Must Be Prepared see note

Welcome back. Great is His faithfulness.

SEE MY NOTE: This morning the readings were much longer. Please see this note and also refer to this writer up, because I'm mentioning some things in the write that is not in the video. This is the longest video I have ever recorded, please take the time to study on your own. Take some time and read these passages very carefully, and allow the Word of God to work in your hearts.

First Reading Matthew 22:15-46

(Matthew 22:15-22)-See alsoLuke 20:20-26- This was not mentioned in my video- this question by the Pharisees was designed to trap Jesus. "YES" would have turned the Jewish people against Jesus, and "NO", would have brought about a charge of treason by the Romans. Jesus defeats their designed trap with His answer, showing believers can in fact render the state it's due while still serving God. (Romans 13:1-7, talks about our duties to state). Jesus is saying that the coin bears IMAGE of the ruling emperor and so the dues are properly paid to him, as each person bears the image of God and therefore belongs to Him. We are to be good citizens and not cause trouble, but trouble arises when the state demands that which is contrary to God.

Second Reading Matthew 23:1-39

vv. 37-39: Here God's deepest desire is the reconciliation of His people, but many do not want Him. In v. 38 THE DESOLATE HOUSE, is referring to both the temple and the nation of Israel itself. House can be used to mean "family" or "tribe" - both the temple and the nation will be without God's presence wants Christ departs.

Third Reading Matthew 24:36-51

The Secomd Coming of Christ will be a sudden revelation of judgement just like in the days of Noah. ONE WILL BE TAKEN TO HEAVEN AND THE OTHER LEFT for eternal condemnation, is detailing the separation of the righteous and the wicked at the END OF THE AGE. This separation of the SAINTS FROM THE WICKED will occur at THE SECOND COMING OF THE SON OF MAN -(v. 39). Some teach that this occurs sometime before His second coming, as Orthodox we follow scripture not speculations.

Fourth Reading Matthew 25:1-46

WE MUST BE PREAPRED, see the first 13 verses this is a parable explaining our need to be spiritually prepared WHILE THE BRIDEGROOM - CHRIST is delayed in His return (v. 5). See my video for the rest of the readings and discussion.

Fifth Reading Matthew 26:1-2

Jesus will be DELIVERED UP to His Passion by His accusers, our Lord will go willingly to His death. Unless Christ had willed to go. The Sanhedrin never would have taken Him. After the death of Christ many saints imitated Christ by willingly doing to their deaths as well.

The readings that stood out to me the most was the reading from Matthew 24:36-51, and Matthew 25:1-46. The end of the age is coming upon us and the righteous will be separated from the wicked, but many teach Matthew 24 wrong and seems to be taken out of context driven by speculation. It's clear in Matthew 25 that followed chapter 24 letting us know the importance of being spiritually prepared is indicating His judgement at the END OF AGE will not be delayed but is coming quickly. Many people will be cut by surprise just like in the days of Noah.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
