Follow Christ’s Example, & Serve God’s Glory (1 Peter 4:1-11, NKJV).


Christ's Example to Be Followed (vv. 1-6):


1. Verse 1-2: Peter encourages believers to arm themselves with Christ's mindset and to cease sin.

2. Verse 3-4: Reference past worldly behaviors and the call to live for God's will.

3. Verse 5-6: The assurance of a future judgment and the proclamation of the Gospel to the dead.


In summary, 1 Peter 4:1-6 teaches believers to emulate Christ's example by embracing suffering for righteousness, rejecting sinful lifestyles, enduring societal opposition, and recognizing accountability before God's judgment.


 Serving God's Glory (vv. 7-11):

2. Verse 8: Emphasis on fervent love among believers.

3. Verse 9-10: The practice of hospitality and the use of spiritual gifts for the benefit of others.

4. Verse 11: The ultimate goal of all actions should be to bring glory to God through Jesus Christ.


1 Peter 4:7-11 (NKJV), Peter shifts his focus to the importance of believers living with a sense of urgency and purpose, recognizing the end times and emphasizing the significance of serving God's glory:
