Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.
Greek word of the day- Ἑβραῖος Hebraîos, heb-rah'-yos; from G1443; a Hebræan (i.e. Hebrew) or Jew:—Hebrew.
Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.
James 2:14-26- "FAITH THAT WORKS"
See vv. 14-19: These passages are telling us that, the faith that truly saves is complete faith. Complete faith is more than the mind and tongue, and what truly saves is the entire person trusting in the living God. It's our faith and relationship with our Creator that is our "JUSTIFICATION" which is both dynamic as well as living. As our faith grows it also affects our actions - or it dies! (See v. 17- "BY ITSELF") - means static faith does not truly save us. We must nurture our faith in God in love Him through the works we do. Jeremiah 7:3: "Do not say you are the temple of the Lord." - so never say that faith alone in Jesus Christ save you, for this is impossible unless you acquire love for Him through your works. As for faith by itself, 'the devil also believes and tremble'" (MaxCon).
See vv. 20-24: Let's look at the Faith of Abraham-
In Genesis 12:1-3: Abraham was 75 years old when the Lord called him to forsake all and follow Him.
Genesis 15:6: Abraham was 85 years old - here Abraham has proven himself renouncing all things - God promises Abraham will be restored all he has given up. God accounted him for righteousness and fulfills His promises through a covenant with Abraham.
Genesis 22:1-9- Abraham is 110 years and had been tested for years concerning God's promise of a son. After the covenant sacrament of initiation (circumcision) that had been given in Genesis 17- Abraham's ultimate test- the sacrifice of Isaac, his son of promise (Genesis 15:6).
James is revealing that Genesis 15:6 is fulfilled in Genesis 22- Abraham is the best example of justification by faith.
See v. 26- This passage makes clear to us all that going through the motions is not something God desires in us. Faith and works cannot be separated, because together they help with true spiritual healing ❤️🩹... There is definitely a difference between being "COMPLETE OR INCOMPLETE"

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
