Good evening. Great is His faithfulness.
This evenings blended readings were from John 3:1-21- Nicodemus meets with Jesus- John 3:22-36- John the Baptist points to Jesus- Matthew 4:12, Mark 1:14; Luke 3:19-20; luke 4:14; & John 4:1-4- Jesus travels from Judea through Samaria- John 4:5-26- Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well- John 4:27-42- The Spiritual harvest.
Tonight's readings and reflections helped me to reflect on my journey in Christ. I realized that God's plan for me was Him planting a seed back in 2016- (I denied Christ in 2016), and when I finally surrendered my life to Christ I became His, a chosen vessel to do His Will and purpose. I mentioned how the Lord led us to Oregon for multiple reasons, Heather's family is from Oregon, but it's clear the Lord brought me to Oregon to compete the process. John 3 talks of being born of both the water and the Spirit, as someone who came from a Protestant background, I was only baptized. I was led to the Orthodox Church through my wife and it was the Lord plan that I completed the process. My journey in Christ I have conquered PTSD because of Christ not of myself just wanted to clarify that point.
"Serving Christ is a choice and to successfully serve Christ is done through a true living and active relationship with your Creator. The readings teach us that Christ is not looking for passive followers, He's actively seeking and desiring that His followers worship Him both in the Spirit and in truth."
