DAY TWELVE: “Return to God”- (Zechariah 1:3) Repentance Needed for Salvation

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Zechariah 1:3

Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

"Have you become complacent in your relationship with God, or are you hungering for more? Don't become satisfied with a relationship with God that is broken by sin and void of the power of the Holy Spirit. You have just as much of God's powerful presence available to you as the greatest saint in Christian history! Return to God. There is much more in store for you if you will return to Him. He awaits your response."

(Experiencing God Day by Day devotional, page 188)

The prophet Zechariah delivers the same message later preached by Christ that repentance is needed for salvation. Repentance is needed for salvation, in order for one to fully come to God is a true relationship, than one must fully turn from a life of sin to a life in the righteousness of the Lord, repent and be forgiven, receive the full of mercy of God.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
