DAY ONE: Yearly Devotional- “Furthering The Gospel” -( Philippians 1:9-12)- Reading from Devotional

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Greek word of the day- †ἀποκτείνω apokteínō, ap-ok-ti'-no; from G575 and κτείνω kteínō (to slay); to kill outright; figuratively, to destroy:—put to death, kill, slay.

And when it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

"FURTHERING THE GOSPEL" The Devotional is 6:15 long ...

Philippians 1:9-12

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which areby Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. 12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,

"AND THIS I PRAY"- St. Paul's prayer is showing his love and pastoral care for the Philippians. St. Paul wants all to see their behavior and thst makes St. Paul confident that God will continue to perfect them- and those who follow in their footsteps.

"Ask God to make you aware of He could use your present circumstances to bless others. Perhaps someone around you needs to see the difference Christ's presence makes in your life. Are you willing for God to use your circumstances to demonstrate His saving power to those around you???"

(Last paragraph of the devotional to hear full devotional reading see my video).

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
