DAY 81:L"LIFE AND LIGHT" (John 1:4)- "Understanding, Moral & Spiritual Truth"

John 1:4

New King James Version

4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

We see in v. 4: The Greek word for “LIFE”: It means that God gives the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the Holy Trinity "logos" (WAS THE WORD, SEE JOHN 1:1) and to Christ in whom the "logos" put on human nature

The Greek word of “LIGHT”: God is light because light is extremely delicate, subtle, pure, and brilliant quality. The Lord provides truth and its knowledge along with spiritual purity, and this purity is exposed to all, openly and publicly. God’s light gives us both reason and mind, and His light gives us the power of understanding along with both moral and spiritual truth.

Summary

Jared began the meeting with a devotional, inviting the Lord, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit to guide their discussion. The group analyzed John, chapter one, verses four and ten, focusing on the life and light brought by Jesus and the Christian's duty to dispel darkness. The discussion was centered around the Greek words for 'life' and 'light' in John 1:4, leading to a deeper understanding of the verse.

John 1:4 and Light

Jared began the meeting with a devotional, inviting the Lord, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit to guide their discussion. He emphasized the importance of asking, seeking, and knocking and defined the true meaning of a minister. Jared then read and discussed John, chapter one, verses four and ten, focusing on the life and light brought by Jesus and the Christian's duty to dispel darkness. The group examined the Greek words for 'life' and 'light' in John 1:4, arriving at a deeper understanding of the verse.

Seeking God's Truth: Unlocking Heaven's Doors

Jared also broke down the meaning of John, chapter one, verse four, explaining that when we seek God's truth in the Scriptures and apply it, we knock on the doors of heaven.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord[a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
