DAY 76: "RETURNING TO YOUR FAILURE" (Luke 5:5)- "Four Fishermen Called" Scene from The Chosen

DAY 76: "RETURNING TO YOUR FAILURE"

SUMMARY: Jared led a devotional centered around the theme of failure and the opportunity for revelation that it can bring. He drew on several biblical passages, including those from Luke, Isaiah, Revelations, and Jeremiah, emphasizing the idea of launching out into the deep and the draw of the familiar. Jared also shared a parable about fishing and the kingdom of heaven, and discussed a scene from "The Chosen," a series depicting the life of Jesus. He ended the meeting with a prayer, asking attendees to be doers of God's word and to seek his kingdom and righteousness.

Luke 5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

Jesus' Redemption: The Four Fishermen's Story - (Time 0:00) Jared led a special morning devotional focused on Luke, chapter 5, verse 5. He discussed the story of the four fishermen being called, emphasizing how Jesus often uses our failures to build something good into our lives. Biblical Passages and Fishermen's Knowledge of Jesus - (Time 4:34) Jared discussed biblical passages from Luke, Isaiah, Revelations, and Jeremiah, focusing on the theme of launching out into the deep and the draw of the familiar. Jared also linked these passages to the idea of fishermen bringing mankind to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, as foretold in Jeremiah. He further discussed a scene from Luke, chapter 5, where Simon Peter asked Jesus to depart from him due to his unworthiness, comparing it to a similar scene in the Bible where a group of people asked Jesus to leave them out of fear. Fishing, Treasures, and Abrupt Endings - (Time 11:31) Jared shared a parable about fishing and the kingdom of heaven. After the story, he addressed the scribes, comparing them to a master of a house bringing forth his treasures, both new and old. He encouraged patience with the knowledge being shared, acknowledging that it may not make sense to everyone. Jared then had a brief interaction with some individuals before ending the meeting abruptly, claiming he had business to attend to. Simon's Call: Fishers of Men Prayer - (Time 18:26) Jared shared a scene from "The Chosen," a series depicting the life of Jesus, in which Simon, a fisherman, is called by Jesus to become a 'fisher of men'. Jared led a prayer, asking for the attendees to be doers of God's word and to seek his kingdom and righteousness. He also emphasized the importance of surrendering to Christ and following him, just as Simon did in the scene.

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ In Christ love Jared W Campbell https://rumble.com/v3fywur-day-76-returning-to-your-failure-luke-55-four-fishermen-called-scene-from-t.html
