DAY 59: "VICTORY ONE STEP AT A TIME" (Deuteronomy 7:21-24)-
"Victory One Step at a Time"
Jared led a discussion focused on the importance of spiritual growth and the value of a relationship with one's Creator. St. Paul's teachings and a marathon analogy were used to illustrate the process of spiritual growth. The session ended with a deeper examination of Deuteronomy, Chapter 7, verses 21 to 24, and a prayer.
You shall not be terrified of them; for the Lord your God, the great and awesome God, is among you. 22 And the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to [a]destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. 23 But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed. 24 And He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one shall be able to stand [b]against you until you have destroyed them.
(I concluded with a quote from St. John Cassian see my video.)
"Do not become impatient while God is producing Christ likeness in you. Do not seek more responsibilities than those He has given you. Obey all that you know He has asked, and he will lead you at a pace that fits your present character and His purposes for you. (Experiencing God Day by Day Devotional, page 236)
