The good things we can do is continue to spread the good seed of Christ wherever we go, and this is how we save souls.
Matthew 13:24-30
The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
Christ and all His followers sow good seed into the ground, the enemy that is Satan he sows tares (his seed) among the wheat. But Christ says isn't good to weed out the tares until it's time for the harvest, the harvest time is the end of the age, and this is when the reaping wil take place. The reapers are the angels of Christ. They will first gather up the tares bind them into bundles ready to be burned. The wheat will be gathered into the barn, meaning they will be with Christ.
Matthew 13:1-7- the parable of the sower is just like this parable we just read.
No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of [f]heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what [g]hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what[h]hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
The WOMAN'S SEED is first Christ, and secondly it's His Church - (Galatians 3:16, 26). The SERPENT's (Satan's seed) are those who reject Christ and follow the ways of Satan- (see also 1 John 3:8-10). Christ destroyed the devil through the cross - (bruise your head). Genesis 3, helps to understand these two parables here in Matthew 13.
Good seed follows Christ and the bad seed follows Satan.
Galatians 3:16: Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
Galatians 3:26: Sons and Heirs
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
1John 3:8-10: 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
The Imperative of Love10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

Prayer Focus from the Devotional
Thank God that you've heard the good news of the gospel of Jesus. Ask for discernment to see clearly the work of the devil and for strength, wisdom, and endurance to navigate through this weed- filled, dying world. Pray also for the ability and opportunity to spread gospel seeds of truth, that those in your life, your field, would hear and believe and be saved.
Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
