I forgot to add this to the lesson, and I apologize. But after some thought it seems this was the right time share this to you all...As our Priest read this passage my heart fluttered inside me, I was thrilled...We are a crooked mess pointing down to the pit, up until we are made straight and whole through Yeshua (Jesus), Christ our God!!!
The Gospel According to Luke 13:10-17
At that time, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years; she was BENT OVER and could not FULLY STRAIGHTEN herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, "WOMAN, you are FREED from your INFIRMITY." And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was MADE STRAIGHT, and she praised God. But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, said to the people, "There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be healed, and not on the sabbath day." Then the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to water it? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?" As he said this, all his adversaries were put to shame; and all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.
Certain traditions that the scribes and Pharisees built up around the Law, that they considered healing as working, and so it was not permitted on the Sabbath...Many of them truly believed since they served the Lord by zealously keeping these peripheral traditions, but this made them insensitive to YHWH's mercy...
BENT (BOWED)OVER: συγκύπτωsynkýptō, soong-koop'-to; from G4862 and G2955; to stoop altogether, i.e. be completely overcome by:—bow together
NOT FULLY STRAIGHTEN, CROOKED: σκολιόςskoliós, skol-ee-os'; from the base of G4628; warped, i.e. winding; figuratively, perverse:—crooked, froward, untoward.
MADE STRAIGHT: ἀνορθόωanorthóō, an-orth-o'-o; from G303 and a derivative of the base of G3717; to straighten up:—lift (set) up, make straight.
FREED: ἀπολύωapolýō, ap-ol-oo'-o; from G575 and G3089; to free fully, i.e. (literally) relieve, release, dismiss (reflexively, depart), or (figuratively) let die, pardon or (specially) divorce:—(let) depart, dismiss, divorce, forgive, let go, loose, put (send) away, release, set at liberty.
INFIRMITY : ἀσθένειαasthéneia, as-then'-i-ah; from G772; feebleness (of mind or body); by implication, malady; morally, frailty:—disease, infirmity, sickness, weakness.
NOTE: I apologize again for forgetting this but maybe it was the way the Lord wanted it...Sometimes even I sometimes forget How He works, this was quick but a good look into what I'm planning about future talk about flipping our inverted cross!!! Christ is up, and He is the only one that can free you from darkness...He knew us in the Matrix before we were even born...Satan is down and lead to eternal darkness it's misery!!!
