The Good Shepherd, Holy Life, and THE BEATITUDES/ 400 Affliction Cycle, Genesis 15, and a Video!!!

DECEMBER 6, 2021: SHALOM!!!
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 CHRONICLES 7:14

The Gospel According to John 10:1-9

“YESHUA (JESUS) THE GOOD SHEPHERD BRINGS LIFE TO THE SHEEP”

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. 7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who ever came [a]before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

10:1-18: Yeshua’ (Jesus’) is having discussions with the Pharisees and it continues, and is no break between John 9:41 and John 10:1...The Feast of the Tabernacles is taking place...Christ is calling out their leadership with that of His Own...The Pharisees as have failed as pastors of YHWH’s people (“pastor” in Latin means “Shepherd”)...Their leadership is and has been marked by deceit and pride and lacked compassion...Christ, on the other hand, fulfills all virtue...According to St. John Chrysostom, the door is YHWH’s Words, meaning both the Scriptures and our Lord Himself (vv. 7, 9)...Those who lead in a way that is neither in Christ or in a way of not teaching according to Scriptures is considered a thief and a robber...Basically they are wolves in sheep’s clothing, they fail to use the door so all can see His works openly, instead they are crafty and cunning, false shepherds...These heretics will not only control you ultimately, but will steal, manipulate people within the Church, but ultimately will steal your souls destroying them...It’s wise to follow Good Shepherds you teach according to the ways of Christ this will lead to eternal life, seek Him first…

10:3-5: Christ has intimate knowledge of all people, so is also true with true pastors in the Church striving to know the people by name, this is true my Priest knows all of our Chrismation Saint names by memory...A True Shepherd of goodness in Christ would never deceive you or even try to hurt you...Ending with Hebrews 4:15: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

10:8: The Phrase all who ever came before Me is not referring to Moses or any other prophets, but to those claiming to be the Messiah both before and after Christ, including Judas of Galilee and Theudas (Acts 5:36-37)...

“Be Careful of the wolves in sheep's clothing especially in the times we find ourselves in...These beasts will seek and devour all who remain asleep in their trance the enemy has put on them!”

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.
JOHN 14:1

Prokeimenon. Grave Mode.

Psalm 115.5,3 (116.15,12)

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Verse: What shall I render to the Lord for all that he has given me?

The reading is from St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 13:17-21

“THE HOLY LIFE SUMMARIZED”

17 Obey those who [a]rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. 18 Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. 19 But I especially urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner. 20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you [b]complete in every good work to do His will, working in [c]you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Exhortation: (1) We experience the heavenly city and the heavenly most holy place we sacrifice our whole being, body, and soul, in Divine Liturgy-a mystery in which our part is that of praise consistent with true doctrine (vv. 15, 9-14)...(2) Good Works: in life and in our communities (to share, Gr. Koinonias) are to be respected and obeyed (vv. 17, 7, 8), some reference the Church to a “spiritual fatherhood”...At judgment an account of their ministry will be given…

The Benediction notes: (1) The Blood of Christ in His Resurrection as Christ offers His blood in the eternal sanctuary and thereby creates a new, everlasting covenant…(2) The everlasting covenant makes us complete, meaning made straight, no longer crooked, and no ,longer pointing down to the pit, instead you are lifted up and inverted into the light!!!

“We are to be the example of (Christ) be the salt of the earth...In order to bring more sinners back to the Lord we must live by example...People must be able to see your change in order to have the impact we need in our individual ministries, yes the Lord calls us all to be ministers and prophets of the truth, the true Word of YHWH!!!”

The Gospel According to Luke 6:17-23

“CROWDS FOLLOW YESHUA (JESUS)-THE BEATITUDES”

17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, 18 as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

The Beatitudes

20 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:

“Blessed are you poor,

For yours is the kingdom of God.

21

Blessed are you who hunger now,

For you shall be filled.[a]

Blessed are you who weep now,

For you shall laugh.

22

Blessed are you when men hate you,

And when they exclude you,

And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,

For the Son of Man’s sake.

23

Rejoice on that day and leap for joy!

For indeed your reward is great in heaven,

For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.
