The Conceptions: John the Baptist and Jesus Christ Deal A Fatal Blow to Abortions being Justified

Good evening. Great is His faithfulness

Reading 1- MARY VISITS ELIZABETH- Luke 1:39-45

Christ is now incarnate, and prophecy resumes in Israel. John prophesies the presence of Christ by leaping in the womb of Elizabeth. This fulfills Jeremiah the prophet: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." (Jeremiah 1:5). Mary also receives veneration from both angels and humans, just like the angel Gabriel did see v. 28, Elizabeth is also declaring Mary to be blessed among women. We see how our Lord's physical body was not yet fully formed, Jesus is truly and fully the Son of God incarnate, and Mary recognizing as being His mother. This truth alone deals a fatal blow to the idea that abortion is justified because the fetus is not yet a person.

Reading 2- Luke 1:46-56

This passage is called the "Magnificat" see my video for further commentary.

Reading 3- Luke 1:57-66

Circumcision was a sign of Israel's covenant with God and this is when a male became member of God's community (Genesis 17:10-14; and Lv 12:3). In Christ, circumcision is fulfilled in baptism (see also Colossians 2:11 and Romans 6). John means "grace of God." He was specifically chosen for a direct mission paving the way for the Messiah.

Reading 4- Luke 1:67-80

When Zecharias assented to the Will of God, HIS MOUTH WAS OPENED, and secondly declares the role of his son as PROPHET OF THE HIGHEST (v. 76).

Reading 5- Matthew 1:18-25

Joseph was a righteous man full of integrity and honor see my video for further discussion.

My Note- the devotional from the Chosen implied Joseph had sexual relations with Mary after Jesus was born and named. My Study Bible doesn't not mention that one bit- here is a prophecy from Ezekiel 44:1-2: Then He brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary which faces toward the east, but it was shut. 2 And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter by it, because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it; therefore it shall be shut.
The Apostles taught the eastern outer gate is the womb of Mary, which is shut because the LORD GOD HAD ENTERED BY IT. This is a prophecy of the forever virginity of Mary the Blessed mother of God.
