Welcome back to JPCE SPIRITUAL TALK today we are diving into Revelation 21 and like usual we stick to the Scriptures!!! I feel we have learned a great deal, I know I have by sticking to the Scriptures I find many teachings to be false and based off want man wants not what the Lord wants!!! We are going to discuss A New Creation, The New Jerusalem, and lastly the Healing of the Nations...We have quiet a bit to cover so without anymore hesitation lets get to the Study, I'm super excited nearly done with Revelation!!!

REVELATION 21:

21:1: The NT teaches that the present world will pass away( see, Matthew 5:18; Mark 13:31; 1 Corinthians 7:31; 2 Peter 3:10-13; 1 John 2:17): but does not imply or mean that the present creation will be utterly destroyed: It will be totally renewed (5:9; 21:5; Isaiah 65:17-25; Romans 8:19-22; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Peter 3:13): we will be freed from all corruption, purified, and transfigured, and glorified, the first cosmos will pass away!!!

21:2: The holy city, New Jerusalem, is a city built by the Lord our God Himself (Hebrews 11:10): everything and everybody will be ready, the bride will finally be ready for her husband: The OT did indeed prophesied a restoration and exalted Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:1-4; 54:11-15; 60:1-22; 62:1-12; 65:17-25; Ezekiel 40-48):

21:3-4: The OT also prophesied that the Lord God would dwell with His people: The Immanuel prophecy (Isaiah 7:14, see also Psalm 45:5-8) is and was fulfilled in the Incarnation (John 1:14; 17:22), also comes to completion in the messianic age, when the Lord Himself fully dwelled, restoring the paradise of the old (Genesis 2; Lv 26:11-12; Ezekiel 37:26-27; Jeremiah 38:33; 2 Corinthians 6:16): therefore joy displaces sorrows and sufferings, a great consolation for persecuted believers!!!

21:6-8: The water of life (living water, John 4:10-14; 7:37-39, or living fountains of waters, Revelation 7:17): Is the grace of the Holy Spirit, along with baptism and chrismation: those who thirst will be given the water forever (v. 6) And, repeating only those who overcome (v. 7), who persist in their allegiance to the Lord, inherit becoming permanent son of God: those who chose the Great Falling Away will face the lake of fire (v. 8): all evil is purged at this point!!!

21:9: The harlot is a disgusting imagine of blasphemy (17:3), the messianic bride comes from the Lord our God and reflects His Splendor!!!

21:10: Like Ezekiel John's vantage point is a high mountain (Ezekiel 40:2): the New Church he sees resembles Ezekiel's new Temple (Ezekiel 40-42): The New Jerusalem will descend out of the Heaven from the Lord!!!

21:12-14: This is describing how the Lord our God will dwell with His people (vv. 3, 7): Ezekiel 28:15-21 tells us that the breastplate of the high priest was adorned with twelve jewels corresponding to the twelve tribes: The Church itself was founded on twelve precious foundation stones of the apostles (v. 14): All those espoused to Christ who feast at the wedding supper, and who dwell in the Holy City, are members of the royal priesthood (Revelation 1:6; 5:10; 20:6; 1 Peter 2:9)

21:15-21: Just like in Ezekiel's vision, the angel measures the city (Ezekiel 40-42): a colossal cube (12x 1000 stadia=1500 square miles), and recalling the shape of the holy of holies (3 Kg 6:19-20; Ezekiel 41:4) it's perfection: 12 symbolizes the people of the Lord, and 1000 shows it's greatness while the stones and how precious they are portray all it's glory: Priests in Jerusalem temple walked on pavements of gold (3Kg 6:29), so shall the new royal priesthood will walk on a street of pure gold (v. 21)

21:22: There is no Temple in the old sense, but in the New Jerusalem (John 4:21), the Temple will be the presence of our Lord in all (v. 22; 1 Corinthians 15;28; Colossians 3:11; 1 Peter 2:4-10): The Church true believers and our hearts is actually the temple!!!

21:23-27: OT prophecies about the glorification of Jerusalem are fulfilled in the eternal Kingdom (Isaiah 60): Created light is unnecessary...For everlasting Uncreated Light will illumine all (Psalm 35:10) to see things how they really are: the true Light , the Light of the world (John 8:12, was incarnate (John 1:9), and even while on earth He shone with Uncreated Light (Mark 9:2-8; 2 Peter 1:16-18): It was prophesied that all the earth will stream to The Holy City to honor it (Isaiah 55:5; Jeremiah 16:19-21; Tb 13:13; see also 1 Enoch 10:21; 48:4-5)- it has no enemies-but only the pure will live within it (Matthew 5:8):

MESSAGE ABOUT OUR ENEMIES

ROMANS 12:14: Bless those who persecute you: bless and not curse...

-This is a difficult task for many and sometimes I even struggle with at times...Here is the deal our Lord and Savior requires mercy more than sacrifice, if He can forgive His persecutors than why do we struggle with this...After debating myself over and over again, I'm come to this conclusion we are justified by faith...and united in good works, and this is a genuine expression from people with true faith: Good works and faith can't be separated, and yes vengeance is perfect and a righteous judgement...Only the Lord our God can carry out this final punishment's, evil is and will always be overcome by good: Christ demonstrated His own free will on that cross, when He said it's done meaning it's finished!!! So our answer is this we are to walk in step with our Lord- Yeshua (Jesus) and love our enemies regardless of the times!!!
