Revelation 18 Study & Scripture Breakdown/Read Peace With the Psalms/Message Spiritual Discipline!!!

Welcome back JPCE SPIRITUAL TALK today is Revelation 18 Study and Scripture breakdown...We will cover The Judgement of Babylon, The World Mourns for Babylon, and The Finality of Babylon's Fall, and by taking a deeper look there is an extremely creepy world still to come!!! By this time people are unable to repent because of the MARK OF THE BEAST, and their harden hearts!!! Not to mention these people sound not very human nearly like a human hybrid: "The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. The light of a lamp shall not shine you anymore, and the voice of the bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore.

"Something dark and demonic is coming and the sheep remain fatten for slaughter, and lost in confusion: The wolves continue their deception all while devouring the sheep who continue to misled only to end on the altar of sacrifice!!!

REVELATION 18

18:1: The Lord of the Most High is light (4:3; Psalm 103:2; 1 Timothy 6:16), the angel coming down from heaven exudes a lingering radiance (Moses Exodus 34:29-35):

18:2: Fallen Babylon: see (Isaiah 13:19-22; 34:11-15) in the passage the prophet is speaking of total destruction of the enemies of the Lord's people: The City is full of nothing but evil and evil spirits!!!

18:4-8: The Lord's people are called to come out of her so as not to partake of her punishment, destruction, and devastation: (Numbers 33:51-56; Isaiah 52:11; Jeremiah 27:8; 28:6, 46): The Separation from this world is spiritual, and not necessarily a physical move but a complete refusal to be in the works of the darkness ( 2 Corinthians 6:14-18): Babylon (Rome) has proclaimed her own sovereign greatness, as a queen (v. 7), her sins have reached heaven (v. 5), referencing the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:4) nothing but excessive arrogance: The Lord's judgement will be swift, in one day (v. 8): In Hebrew day denotes so much a chronological period as a completed act!!!

18:9-10: The Kings of the earth who committed fornication will mourn (only from a distance), they will be stunned and completely caught off guard by the Judgement of Rome and the specter of their own economic loss, and the devastation will be huge (Psalms 75:13; Nah 3:4-7): Look what happen to Sodom (Genesis 19:28) and Edom (Isaiah 34:6-10):

18:11-19: Just like the Political leaders (vv. 9, 10), the economic leaders, the merchants, all stand astonished at Rome's sudden destruction and their loss revenues verses 11-13, list of luxury items in Rome's flow of trade (Ezekiel 27:12-25): Some rabbi's say that "ten measures of wealth came down into the world; Rome received nine and all the world received one..."The goods with all the profits made Rome queen (v. 7) of the world: Worldly possessions are not good or bad, their misuse leads to sin, and complacency, and a fatal lack of poverty of the spirit (see, Revelation 3:17-20): Therefore, excessive wealth will always conflict with authentic Christian discipleship (Matthew 6:24): The last item, is the bodies and souls (v. 13), is referring to slaves who are sold at auctions like human livestock for domestic services, prostitution, and other evil nonsenses!!!

18:20: Opposite Reaction!!! ( see, vv. 9-19) In Heaven: Justice has prevailed!!!

18:21-24: The great millstone thrown into the sea, see Babylon's disasters and annihilation (Jeremiah 28:59, 60; Nah 3:4-7): In her was found the blood of prophets and saints (v. 24) there is mass massacres of Christians just like that under Nero, and Domitian: However Babylon as the center of opposition to the Lord our God and self-deification!!!

MESSAGE/ SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE

HEBREWS 12:4-11:

4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

“My son, do not despise the [a]chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”

7 If[b] you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no [c]chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

-UNPLEASENT CIRUMSTANCES: Tempt us to complain, the chastening of the Lord: It's our spiritual discipline to stay in the Lord and put our hope and faith in only Him, no matter how bad it gets!!! It's our Creator who breath give us life (Genesis 1:26; 2:7)
