Proverbs 8:1-36 and Proverbs 9:1-18- Readings/Reflections..

Shalom,

Good Tuesday morning it’s June 15, 2021, I pray all is well: Today is our daughters eight birthday. Hailey never slows down but she has the kindest heart I have ever seen in a person. Her Kindness is definitely a gift from God. Later today we are heading to Sherwood, OR because our oldest son Tyler has a dental appointment. When his appointment ends we are heading to Langer's

Entertainment Center to enjoy pizza and bowling with family and friends. It’s going to be an outstanding day and I can’t wait to have some fun. Today’s readings and reflections will come from both Proverbs 8:1-36 and Proverbs 9:1-18. I have decided to start covering two chapters a day, because I need to catch up to myself. I have been reading ahead and I’m sure some of you have as well. I’ve been reading ahead because usually my messages are done a day in advance. Well without further ado let me get to my reflections and readings for the day, God Bless you all and thanks you all for giving me a chance!

Proverbs 8:1-36 (Wisdom’s Announcement, authority, creator and lifegiver)

Our announcement in Christ: Proverbs 8:11- For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I never struggled much with materialism but I did struggle with our financial stability years ago. When Heather and I were first married my symptoms of PTSD stayed dormant up until I medically retired in 2008 from the US Army. Some of this stems from my first marriage with Monica when she spent nearly all of my deployment money. For years I developed an obsession where I was constantly checking our account multiple times a day. Sometimes this obsession of mine would cause arguments between Heather and I resulting in the two of us going to bed mad. As I sit here and reflect on this problem it seems I allowed fear to override my own wisdom and logical thinking. “Be careful, our minds can deceive us, but our hearts stay truthful.”

Our authority in Christ Proverbs 8:14- Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. PTSD was Satan’s way of torturing me all these years and that is the truth. Now I have a true understanding of myself than ever before, I see now there was no reason to allow this evil to beat me down. I think there is a huge difference between those who see combat, and those who get into a small accident. Imagine being surrounded by mortar fire and small arms fire daily. That's different from some people getting into some petty accident; the traumas are different. I will stop here with going any further into the PTSD debate, because I keep it all simple. The new authority and wisdom I have found in Christ is what’s conquering PTSD for me. These daily readings and reflections have opened my eyes up to what I need to fix moving forward. “Wisdom in Christ is better than the wisdom of mankind!”- Jared W. Campbell

Jesus Christ is not only our creator but our creator in wisdom- Proverbs 8:22-23- The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up for everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Jesus Christ is our life-giver- Proverbs 8: 34-36- Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. For me I say if Christ wasn’t our life-giver then how do I explain my new found peace? If the day ever came where I was told to live I had to deny Christ or die if I believed in him. I’m so sure of my new self that Christ is our God that I would gladly choose death not to deny him to any person. This might sound extreme but considering our current situation I sound pretty logical.

“Jesus is proof of life, because without him I would be dead eternally!” - Jared W. Campbell

Proverbs 9:1-18 (Wisdom Hosts a Banquet- Stupidity Imitates Wisdom’s Banquet)

Satan (Lucifer) whatever he is called these days has done a great job at destroying institutions and stealing elections (Governments). He has accomplished some of his missions by keeping us divided on topics like race, or social views. He has done a great job at dividing Churches allowing false doctrines and practices to confuse the masses. Satan has used the Churches to steal souls for himself when his final end comes. What we are seeing has nothing to do with Evolution/ Millions of years. Instead it’s Biblical and it’s happening right before our eyes, and evil is pretending to be good and it’s distracting the masses. Evil was able to fool the masses using fear, but they were able to make the fear look good. They were able to fool millions into bogus information that never backed science one bit. Proverbs 9:17-18- Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. But knoweth not that the dead are there, and that her guests are in the depths of HELL.

The wisdom we receive from Christ never leaves us. It opens up our minds and hearts to the truth, and when we take in our daily bread; he provides us life. The more I consume my daily bread in Christ the more I awaken to the very truth he is our life giver. I’m able to defend my position as a Christian if need be with love, humility and courage. Proverbs 9: 9-12- Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of The LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
