Shalom,
Good Friday morning it’s June 25, 2021, I pray all is well. The end of the week and just in time for some relaxation and family time. Oregon is getting hit with some extremely high temperatures that are very uncharacteristic of this time of year. With summer among us it’s imperative we all become watchers and observers for potential heat injuries. What many people failed to realize once you have had a heat injury you are now prone to being a future heat casualty. I am a heat casualty. For me it started back in high school, and in Iraq I was hit again with a heat injury. I have to be extremely careful when working outside and I have to take tons of breaks so I don’t overheat. Heat injuries are a serious matter. Please watch your kids and pets as well as yourselves; drink plenty of water or fluids with electrolytes! Today’s readings and reflections will come from Proverbs 28:1-18, Proverbs 29:1-27, Proverbs 30:1-33, and Proverbs 31:1-31.
“No one wants to see your joy and wonderment more than your Savior. Imagine what He has in store for you!” The Day Approaching- Amir Tsafati
Proverbs 28:1-18 (Observations on Impiety and Religious Integrity)
Proverbs 28:12- When Righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: But when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
Ungodly people live in contempt of God and they live a life of cowardice and unreality. These people live in FEAR of their own imaginations, but people who live in wisdom of their own virtues have confidence over their lives. This stands true if you think about it because confident people are more patient. A person who is driven by fear and ignorance isn’t patient and tends to lash out at a drop of a dime. We need more righteous people that are confident and wise to rise up against the imaginations of the wicked.
“I owe no explanation or apology for what I believe. If you remain hidden that’s because you lack FAITH & CONFIDENCE in yourself!” - Jared W. Campbell
Proverbs 29:1-27 (Observations on Living in Community)
Proverbs 29:2- When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
We can set out to better ourselves, making us a better version of ourselves or we can reject ourselves. If we reject ourselves and allow the temptations of our sins to consume us we could end up being lost forever. It’s true the ungodly as well as the tyrants seek to destroy not only holiness but anything that stands for good. Many times the ungodly push too far resulting in no remedy or cure to the situation. Unless they repent and turn back they will be consumed to the point of no return. Our world is quickly changing it’s unstable being consumed by wickedness. Our only hope for salvation is Christ our God. God sometimes uses our arrogance in the attempt to humble us. Humility can teach us a great deal but the LORD only supports those who are humble minded with the glory of his virtues. Our world will continue to mourn and stumble unless more faithful servants in Christ rise up.
“A faithful servant in CHRIST is the light of the world, and a stubborn servant leads to darkness in the world.” - Jared W. Campbell
Proverbs 30:1-33 (Agur’s Confession of Faith)
Proverbs 30:4-5- Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
All roads lead to Christ our God and those who believe in God fear his words. Being God fearing is what leads us to redemption and repentance of our sins. We are all his children meaning Christians are the name of his children. We can’t know or even understand God through worldly wisdom because God deems this as foolish see 1 Corinthians 1:20-21 (http://bib.ly/1Co1.20-21.KJV). Through God we can all live a life that is virtuous full of wisdom and accountability leading to peace of mind. (Enjoy a quick 6 minute video clip from the Chosen, it’s Nicodemus, and John the Baptist quotes Proverbs 30:4-5 while in prison.)
Proverbs 31:1-31 (Lemuel’s Lesson)
Proverbs 31:10- Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31:8- Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Father, thank you for bringing a woman like Heather in my life. She is my foundation and without her I am not complete LORD. Lord, continue to bless our marriage and our children! The Lord continues to keep us honest and truthful, keeping us held accountable for our wrongs. Father lastly I pray for those with an ignorant tongue that you hit them with wisdom, before their sins become a destructive path for the rest of us. In closing, the Lord continues to give me the strength and confidence to continue down my journey of redemption; In Yeshua (Jesus) name I pray Amen!
God Bless,
