Our Daily Bread & The Times to Come Readings/ Scripture Work: Give It All To Christ our God.

Shalom,

Good Thursday morning it’s July 22, 2021, I pray all is well. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Opening Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, my God, You have said, “Apart from me You can do nothing.” In faith I embrace Your words, Lord, and I entreat Your goodness. Help me to carry out the work I am about to begin, and to bring it to completion. To You I give glory, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

My Lord and Savior, You became man and labored with Your hands until the time of Your ministry. Bless me as I begin this work. Help me to bring it to completion. Lord, enlighten my mind and strengthen my body, that I may accomplish my task according to Your will. Guide me to bring about works of goodness to Your service and glory. Amen!

Job at this moment has lost everything and he’s struggling to maintain his composure. He dropped to his knees and cried out to God, and asked for His mercy and forgiveness. Satan then was confused how Job still had his salvation and chose to give up the rest of what he had to receive God’s mercy. To one day receive our eternal gift of eternal life and peace, what gets us there. Feeling bad on an earthly level for the things we have done wrong or if we were wronged and last everything like Job. Our Salvation is dependent on both our works and faith in us living a life of daily repentance loving God with all your mind and heart. Meaning we live a life of holding ourselves accountable in front of God each day, and this is today’s message and scripture work from (2 Corinthians 6:1-18, & 2 Corinthians 7:1-16).

2 Corinthians 6:1-18 A Mark of Apostleship & A Plea For Holiness

6:1-10: Yeshua (Jesus) is the greatest of all time! Talk about an authentic Apostle! His life demonstrates the strength of God working in human weakness. Our day of salvation is now and we are all awaiting the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

6:1-10: This passage is read on days to honor female martyrs of the Church.

6:11-7:1: This is the New Covenant: Love God and His Church and turn ourselves away from immorality and false religions, and choose true devotion to Christ our God: Perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (7:1)

6:14: The Church calls us to be in relationships with those of faith.

6:17: God come out of the world, we need to separate ourselves from what is holy and what is unholy. We are told to live righteous in His name doing His great works, and to ignore all deceptions including false religions and pagans.

2 Corinthians 7:1-16 Desire & Diligence

7:1: To escape filthiness: One must realize you are a sinner, a daily sinner that is wrapped into a spiritual war. God requires mercy more than sacrifice so to be cleansed of our sinful stains one must live a life of full repentance in front of God. We are thrown into a constant battle to maintain holiness, and to save ourselves means by promises of God, we must open our hearts to full forgiveness of our sins, and live that life of repentance. It’s only through this style of worship where we can feel the full force of the Holy Spirit working through you.

7:9-16: Feeling sorry just on a humanistic level isn’t enough. It’s only through true heartfelt, godly sorrow that delivers repentance and diligence. Only true repentance through prayer to Christ Our God can cleanse us from our sin, so we aren’t detached from God for the entire eternity. So we must continue the path of salvation in order to receive eternal life. The sorrows of the world is like getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar, you feel bad because you got caught. That is self centeredness and we are only concerned about feeling bad maybe due to embarrassment. If we only feel bad for the sorrows of the world we stop short of repentance and reconciliation to God.

Job is a prime example of anything is possible with God if we keep the faith and repent for our sins. The Gospel teaches us from the words of Yeshua (Jesus) himself: do not fear those who can destroy the body, but fear Me the one you can destroy both body and spirit. Today’s message is this in order for us to grow stronger in Christ we must repent for our sins; do so in spirit and in truth. Our salvation in Christ our God is as simple as this repent or perish, worship God in spirit and in truth, walk and love and peace to all you approach in our walk with the Lord!

Closing Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for Your strength and guidance in my work. You are the fulfillment of all good things. Fill also my soul with joy and gladness, that I may praise You always. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!
