Our Daily Bread: The Church Shines bright like a Full Moon: Reading/ Thoughts Song of Songs 6:1-12

Shalom,

Good Tuesday morning it’s July 13, 2021, I pray all is well. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Glory to You, our God, glory to You! Heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, present in all places and filling all things, the treasury of blessings and Giver of life: come and abide in us. Cleanse us from all impurity and save our souls, gracious Lord.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (3) Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen! All-holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, forgive our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for the glory of Your name. Lord have Mercy. (3) Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

“The Church shines bright like a beautiful full moon, because it’s illuminated by the Sun of Righteousness, and reflects His great glory.”

Song of Songs 6:1-12

6:1: The daughters of Jerusalem, the companions are seeking the Bridegroom. It seems those who are wise still seek Him.

6:2: His garden is the Church

6:5: The Bridegroom is warning His Bride against trying to see His Divine Essence, for no one shall see him and live (Exodus 33:20). The angels, even the mighty

, veil their faces before His glory (Isaiah 6:2). https://orthodoxwiki.org/Seraphim

6:8-9: The Queens symbolize souls of those who reign with Christ through their WATCHFULNESS and their EVANGELICAL way of life. The concubines may give Praise to the bride who wastes their energy on worldly attachments. Both the queens and concubines will approach the King’s thorn, but take note only the queens rule with Him. The Church is seen as the mother, St. The Cyprian of Carthage wrote, ``if one resists and withstands the Church, can he still be confident that he is in the Church?” It doesn’t matter the multiple numbers of religious affiliations, and yes each offers a different variation of revelations, salvation, and enlightenment. There is only one Bride of Christ.

6:10: The Bride, the Church, is as beautiful as the moon, see my opening quote, and can also reference (Malachi 3:20).

Today’s Message:

Lord, today we ask you to give us the courage to remain watchful of our enemies, but remaining humble as peacemakers. These virtues will allow us to Shine as bright as the Moon so we can show the entire world how Your Great Glory is reflected; by our faith and great works in Your name we pray Amen!

“In Christ we shine like a new creation that’s because the old has passed away; and the new life has started. Once our slow transformation in Christ begins it can’t be undone because we will never be the same; you will be a better person.”

Closing The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
