Our Daily Bread: Revelation 18, Babylon and The Deception: The Days of Deception Part 4...

Who is the mystery Babylon? Babylon translates obviously to an ancient city. It also translates to a tyrannical system of Government. No, I did not make this up, instead I simply used wisdom and a simple translation. I have spent my own personal time invested in my studies and I believe it’s better to be fair and stick to Scripture. Some scholars say that the Book of Revelation is written metaphorically, even some brothers and sisters in Christ would also agree.

I’m not here to argue any of this but only stick to the Scriptures and translations, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Believe me when I say it may take a few times rereading as well as some meditation time to allow the light to kick in to full understanding of what YHWH is telling us. I see the Book of Revelation written in solid truth. Everything it says will happen and is happening now with the convergence of Bible prophecies being fulfilled before our eyes. All I ask is for you all to read and study it for yourselves, and my mission is to teach transgressors His ways, so sinners can turn back to Him...He says use Wisdom in all we do, and that’s what I’m going to do with my ministry seek wisdom and understanding, not lies and deception to fill itching ears…At the end of the study take note on who is deceiving us in these last days if you don't know, you will be shocked by the translation.

Babylon: Βαβυλών Babylṓn, bab-oo-lone'; of Hebrew origin (H894); Babylon, the capitol of Chaldæa (literally or figuratively (as a type of tyranny)):—Babylon.

Revelation 18:1-8: The Judgement of Babylon

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried [a]mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the [b]abundance of her luxury.” 4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins [c]have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered [d]to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived [e]luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who [f]judges her.

18:1: As YHWH is light (Revelation 4:3; Psalm 103:2; 1 Timothy 6:16), so the angel coming down from heaven exudes a lingering radiance (see Moses in Exodus 34:29-35)...

Revelation 4:3: http://bib.ly/Re4.3.NKJV

18:2: This dirge over fallen Babylon is inspired by Isaiah 13:19-22; Isaiah 34:11-15, where the prophet speaks of the total destruction of the enemies of YHWH’s people...The city is a haunt of demonic, foul and hateful spirits…

Babylon: Βαβυλών Babylṓn, bab-oo-lone'; of Hebrew origin (H894); Babylon, the capitol of Chaldæa (literally or figuratively (as a type of tyranny)):—Babylon.

I find the translation here very interesting and figuring out who Mystery Babylon is. I have made small hints...It sounds like a global system full of tyranny operating on a massive scale. Just pay attention to our New World Order...We live in interesting times if you are a true follower of Yeshua (Jesus)...

18:4-8: YHWH’s people are called to come out of her so as not to partake of her punishment, destruction, and devastation (see Numbers 33:51-56; Isaiah 52:11; Jeremiah 27:8; 28:6,46)...Separation from this world is spiritual, not necessarily a physical move but a refusal to participate in the works of darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)...As reached to heaven (v. 5), recalling the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:4), a symbol of excessive arrogance...YHWH’s judgement will be swift, in one day (v. 8)...In Hebrew day denotes not so much a chronological period as a complete act…

Jeremiah 28:6 and Jeremiah 46:

2 Corinthians 6:14-18: http://bib.ly/2Co6.14-18.NKJV

Reached to heaven: ἀκολουθέω akolouthéō, ak-ol-oo-theh'-o; from G1 (as a particle of union) and κέλευθος kéleuthos (a road); properly, to be in the same way with, i.e. to accompany (specially, as a disciple):—follow, reach. Heaven: οὐρανός ouranós, oo-ran-os'; perhaps from the same as G3735 (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel (Christianity):—air, heaven(-ly), sky.

In one day: Self explanatory

Revelation 18:9-20: The World Mourns Babylon

9 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ 11 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. 14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have [a]gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! 17 For in one hour such great riches [b]came to nothing.’ Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance 18 and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’ “They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she [c]is made desolate.’ 20 “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you [d]holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”

18:9-10: The Kings of the earth who committed fornication will mourn (but from a distance), stunned by the judgement of Rome and the specter of their own economic loss, when they see her devastation (see Psalm 75:13, Nah 3:4-7)...What happened to Sodom (Genesis 19:28) and Edom (Isaiah 34:6-10) is befalling Rome…

18:11-19: Like political leaders (vv.9, 10), the economic leaders, the merchants, stand astonished at Rome’s sudden destruction and their own loss of revenues...Verses 11-13 list luxury items in Rome’s flow of trade (see Ezekiel 27:12-25)...

Merchants: ἔμπορος émporos, em'-por-os; from G1722 and the base of G4198; a (wholesale) tradesman:—merchant.

18:20: The opposite reaction (see vv.9-19) in heaven: Justice has prevailed!!!

Revelation 18:21-24: The Finality of Babylon’s Fall

21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. 22 The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. 23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”

18:21-24: The great milestone thrown into the sea recalls Babylon’s disasters and annihilation (Jeremiah 28:59-60; Nah 3:4-7)...Her spell of idolatry, vice and murder bound the whole civilzed world with a bewitching belief that she was immortal and secure. But as her influence was total, so her destruction is total...No signs of life are seen or heard; an eerie silence pervades...In her was found the blood of prophets and saints (v.24) here alludes directly to the massacres of Christians under such as Nero and Domitian...However, Babylon as the Center of opposition of YHWH and self-deification of creation continues beyond the immediate incarnation to be see in the New Roman Empire?

Merchants: ἔμπορος émporos, em'-por-os; from G1722 and the base of G4198; a (wholesale) tradesman:—merchant.

Sorcery: φαρμακεία pharmakeía, far-mak-i'-ah; from G5332; medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively):—sorcery, witchcraft. Please pay careful attention to this translation on who is deceiving you in these last days, this is scripture and it’s happening now…

Babylon: Βαβυλών Babylṓn, bab-oo-lone'; of Hebrew origin (H894); Babylon, the capitol of Chaldæa (literally or figuratively (as a type of tyranny)):—Babylon.
