With the Days of Deception upon us we need to understand one thing: good theology leads to good behaviors. The Mark of the Beast is a hot topic among all religious leaders of our present times even false teachers love to deceive you on this. It’s all part of Satan’s deceptive game to mislead and divide Christians on the basis of their faith. To understand the mark of the beast we must understand the numerical values and equivalents to words, names or even phrases. I had to study this over and over again until I was hit with the light of understanding.
After hours of my own research and coming to my own understanding with our Father is heaven. I believe it’s safe to say that it's a real good possibility John was speaking in code when referencing 666. Now I don’t want to spoil everything before the study, but here is one thing to keep in mind when you begin my study. The number six is used for falling short of YHWH (God), the number 7 means fullness and completion like our 7 days of the week. Next the number eight is for eschatological perfection, a superabundance of fullness!!! The number 666 definitely represents something bad, and it could signify a few things. One an actual mark, a system that is fully tyrannical down to Satan himself who will rise as a one world leader someday in the future. The world did not accept the real Christ when he was crucified but the world will accept the Antichrist in the end times!!!

Revelation 13:1-9: The Beast Against the Saints
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? 13:1-2: The beast (monster) rising up out of the sea, a composite of the four beasts that is mentioned in Daniel 7, is the epitome of worldly kingdoms opposed to YHWH and His Kingdom...For John, this was the Roman Empire: a monstrous creature with ten horns (very powerful), seven heads (the emperors), ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name (emperors who assumed titles of divinity such as Lord and God, Savior, Son of God, ect)... Take a look at Revelation 5:12-14, we see a parody , where the sanctified Lamb is enthroned, the beast is given power, not to bless the Church but to persecute it...One of the heads of this monster was as though it had been slaughtered to death (the Greek text), and is another parody of the Lamb which was standing even though it had been slain (Revelation 5:6)...The deadly wound might refer to the mad emperor Nero’s death (inflicted by a slit in the throat in the manner of temple sacrifice)...For despite his death in AD 68, the empire lived on, revived under Vespasian...Many believed Nero himself would rise from the dead...Domitian (AD 81-96, the emperor at the time of the writing of Revelation) was considered to be Nero reincarnation because of his cruelty surpassed Nero’s...Christian tradition has also seen the beast as an image of the Antichrist, the false messiah who presents himself in the last times as God incarnate and is accepted by the world (John 5:43; 2 Th 1:12; 1 John 2:18) Since there are many antichrists, there may be more than one application of the beast FIGURE or SYSTEM…

13:5: Forty-two months: is the final period of apocalyptic conflict...it is one half of seven years, not the final end of things… Thus, the nations trample over the holy city for three and half years (Revelation 11:2); the TWO WITNESSES will prophesy for three and half years (Revelation 11:3); they are left unburied for three and half days (Revelation 11:9-11); the woman is protected in the wilderness for three and a half years (Revelation 12:6, 14)...Nero’s persecution lasted approximately forty-two months…
13:6: The beast, the Roman Empire, utters blasphemy against God, for the emperor came to see himself as god...Domitian demanded to be called divine, and on Roman coins divine titles were associated with the likenesses of deceased emperors...The tabernacle is YHWH’s Church; those who dwell in heaven, the angels and glorified saints...Christians saw emperor worship as worship of Satan; it is the ultimate offense against the Lord our God that His creatures would worship earthly authority, itself under demonic rule...Nevertheless, by YAHWEH's permission, the Antichrist rules over the whole earth and apparently vanquishes the Church…
