Our Daily Bread: Isaiah Study continued, Shun evil and do Good!

Shalom,

Good Tuesday morning it’s September 21, 2021, I pray all is well.

Today’s Readings and Scripture work will cover Isaiah 10, Isaiah 11, Psalm 141:3, and Romans 12:12.

In the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!

“Continue to WALK BY FAITH, shun evil and keep our lips guarded from lies and deceit. Love our neighbors, pray for those who hate us and those who love us. Stay strong and steadfast both in prayer and in our times of tribulation. Rejoice and keep hope and remain diligent and patient; never give in to evil ways!”

Prayer of Enlightenment

Having received this new day as a gift, I thank you, Holy Trinity, for through Your

goodness and patience You were not wrathful with me, an idler and a sinner, neither have You cast me down in my sins. But You have shown Your love towards me and have guided me to keep my daily watch and to glorify Your power. Enlighten my mind to study Your word and open my heart to understand Your teachings in Scripture. Help me to apply what I learn and to praise You with all of my heart and to glorify Your holy name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

“Come, you children, listen to me;

I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Who is the man who desires life,

Who loves to see good days?

Keep your tongue from evil,

And your lips from speaking deceit.

Shun evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,

And His ears are open to their supplications.”

Psalm 33 (34):12-16

10:1-4: Was covered yesterday at the end of Isaiah 9 scripture work.

10:5-20: Isaiah is predicting the coming attack by the Assyrians and their defeat during the siege on Jerusalem. He also tells the people to remind them that YHWH, not Assyria, controls History. The light of Israel that will sanctify YHWH’s people is speaking so peacefully of the Holy Spirit.

10: 24-27: The Assyrian king made an attempt to attack Egypt by the way of the coastline and obviously failed big time, the yoke that wanted to harm Jerusalem was destroyed.

11:1-5: At the Baptism of Christ, the Holy Spirit shall rest upon Him, reference (Matthew 3:16). The righteous and the faithful Messiah will judge the people by what’s in their hearts; His teachings shall strike the earth; and His breath symbolizing the Holy Spirit will destroy the ungodly.

11:6-9: The uncreated Son of YHWH will assume created human flesh, and restore the relationship with Him because mankind was lost after the fall, reference (Romans 8:19-23). The whole world shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord. http://bib.ly/Ro8.19-23.NKJV

11:10: His resting place is interpreted by some of the Fathers to be the Tomb of Christ, an honorable place of veneration. It’s also true that Christ finds His “rest” in His Saints, in who He dwells.

11:1-10: This passage is read on Vespers of the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord.

11:11-12: Salvation will come first to the Jewish remnant, and then to the Gentiles…..from the four corners of the earth, reference (Acts 1:8, and Romans 1:16). The Teachings of the Apostles will spread throughout the world destroying idols and correcting errors, even in Egypt. The Cross is the sign, Our Lord said, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth , will draw all peoples to Myself”, (John 12:32). http://bib.ly/Jn12.32.NKJV : http://bib.ly/Ac1.8.NKJV : http://bib.ly/Ro1.16.NKJV

11:16: The Highway: that once led Israel out of captivity in Egypt will later be opened for Mary and Joseph to bring a child there for protection from Herod. Also for the Apostles to return there with the Gospel of Christ.

“We all need a guard over our mouths at times, and we also need to remain patient even in tribulations. Keep our hope and faith in Him, and continue steadfastly in prayer, pray without ceasing speaking clearly our needs & concerns!”

Psalm 141:3: http://bib.ly/Ps143.3.NKJV : Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;

Keep watch over the door of my lips.

141:3: Our lips and the words we say can sometimes be a weapon to do harm. Sometimes we all speak without thinking meaning sometimes I speak what I’m thinking. This is an area that I struggle daily with because of all the frustrations that seem to come my way. YHWH, has given me what I needed to work on my impatience.

Romans 12:12: http://bib.ly/Ro12.12.NKJV : rejoicing in hope, patient[a] in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

12:12: All believers and while we are justified by faith, “Justification of faith”, also means that faith is united by good works in the name of Christ, which are genuine expressions of “TRUE FAITH”: FAITH AND WORKS cannot be separated.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

May YAHWEH Bless you all,
