Our Daily Bread: Isaiah 65-67: Do Not Pray YHWH Away: Do not Hate cause Strife:

Shalom,

Good Thursday morning it’s October 21, 2021, I pray all is well. Tribulations and afflictions on our souls are very real feelings. Many people at times will engage in what’s called praying away, because they are upset from the loss of a loved one. At times some of us find ourselves in different battles against evil that doesn’t include the loss of a loved one. No matter the afflictions and the pains any of you are struggling with right now including myself, prayer is the foundation that delivers us from evil and death.

Today I’m finishing up the rest of our study in the Book of Isaiah, covering Chapters 65-67: Today’s message is Don’t Pray Away, and do let hatred stir up strife. Readings and Scripture Work will cover John 9:3, Proverbs 10:12, Psalm 23, and Psalm 37:24.

“The fire you kindle for your enemy often burns you more than him.”

-CHINESE PROVERB

In the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!

Prayer of Enlightenment

Having received this new day as a gift, I thank you, Holy Trinity, for through Your

goodness and patience You were not wrathful with me, an idler and a sinner, neither have You cast me down in my sins. But You have shown Your love towards me and have guided me to keep my daily watch and to glorify Your power. Enlighten my mind to study Your word and open my heart to understand Your teachings in Scripture. Help me to apply what I learn and to praise You with all of my heart and to glorify Your holy name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

65:1-2: I stretched out My hands: This is pointing to “the salvific Passion” on the Cross on which He extended His hands” (Theod).

65:3-8: The people violate the law deliberately and continually, and therefore deserve YHWH’s anger; yet because of the intercession of even one, YHWH declares that He will not destroy them all. “If, within the cluster, a single mature seed is found, it is a cause for saving the entire cluster for the purpose of offering the first fruits to YHWH (God)”. (Theod)

65:16: Orthodox faithful bless themselves with the sign of the Cross of Christ, in the name of the True God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

65:17-25: This prophecy is partially fulfilled in this age, where those who have been united to Christ are a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17); but it will be fulfilled completely in the age to come, when Christ comes again with a new heaven and a new earth (reference Revelation 21:1-4).

66:1: “YHWH”, then, being immaterial and uncircumscribed, has no place. For He is His own place, filling all things” (JohnDm; reference John 4:20-24).

66:5-6: Believers are reminded that even those who hate them are still brethren, for YHWH alone repays His enemies with justice.

66:7: According to the Fathers, this prophecy is fulfilled first in the Virgin Mary, and also in the Church.

66:8-9: The Church will indeed be born in one day, at Pentecost (reference Acts 2:41, and Acts 4:4), and she will in turn give birth to a nation, whereas the old covenant of the law will be sterile.

66:10-14: Christ the Bridegroom: is describing the glorious union of Himself with His bride, the Church. “The Holy Spirit is the river.”

66:15-16: Here the Second Coming of the Lord and the Last Judgement are depicted.

66:17,18, 24: All hypocrisy, idolatry, and mockery of YHWH will be destroyed together, and those who refuse to repent will nevertheless be made to see the truth in the light of YHWH’s glory. These are the dead bodies who will never escape the fire of YHWH’s chastisement.

66:19: The Cross is the sign of salvation which the apostles shall declare...among the Gentiles (reference Matthew 8:19).

66:20-21: Worship, sacrifices with psalms, will be open to both Gentiles and Jews, and Christ will choose priests to serve His Church from the Gentile believers.

John 9:3: Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. http://bib.ly/Jn9.3.NKJV :

9:3: The Savior, Christ is rejecting the assumptions (common in the ancient world) that all troubles and maladies are necessarily the consequence of personal sin or even the sins of one’s parents (reference, Exodus 20:5; and Deuteronomy 5:9; and contrast Ezekiel 18:19-21). Though suffering can be the direct result of personal sin, this is certainly not always the case. In this instance, the man’s blindness provided the occasion for the works of YHWH to be revealed; it was not related directly to the man’s personal sins.

“Prayer is our foundation because only YHWH can deliver us from all the issues we find ourselves in.He can both deliver us from problems, or He can help us through them, just call out to Him!”

Proverbs 10:12: http://bib.ly/Pr10.12.NKJV : Hatred stirs up strife,

But love covers all sins.

10:12 or 13 depending on version: The general virtues of Wisdom produce love, but their absence causes men to become hateful and lovers of strife.

“MY BIGGEST FEAR, YHWH (GOD), is that loving people who vigorously oppose You, I will have failed to stand against the injustices they have perpetrated against the innocent and defenseless ones they have harmed. How do I stand firmly and clearly for justice and yet still love your enemies? Does my love cloak their iniquities? I know in my soul that I must love those people, but still YHWH (GOD), I wonder and fear that love is much too easy. Strengthen me to be able to love them and give me wisdom to know how to extend Your love without compromising Your justice.”

Psalm 23: http://bib.ly/Ps23.NKJV: I chant this prayer often, it has helped me to relieve lots of my daily anxiety, living with chronic PTSD is not fun. Shun evil and do good, YHWH is not to blame for the bad in our lives, and sometimes things that happen to us can be used as a teaching moment. For me lately He is definitely giving me more moments of His divine teachings, I need to work on patience. I have an issue with ignorance especially when it’s so obvious, O’ The Lord of my soul help me to calm this anxiety storm, and help me to bear the fatigue of the coming day. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will [d]dwell in the house of the Lord

[e]Forever.”

Psalm 37:24: Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;

For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

This Psalms shows why the martyrs were willing to die: they were looking for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come” (Nicene Creed). Prior to their martyrdom, the martyrs lived a godly life in light of the new world. Therefore they are the best examples to encourage YHWH’s people to live the Christian life in the same anticipation of the world to come. But the ungodly shall not inherit that world.

“Blessed Are You Lord our God, In Your Holy Name Yeshua Hamashiach we pray this. Thank You again Lord for giving me the strength to finish today’s message and lesson that You provided for us today. Abba, I know I have fallen short of You the last few days, but I have also kept Your percepts. Deliver me from evil and the attacks and snares of the evil one. Give me the patience and the humility each day so when I face my giants, I face them with confidence. Continue to bless all those who serve you and keep Your percepts, bless those who love me, bless those who hate me, I pray for them especially my Lord, and King. In closing Lord continue to give the courage to not let hatred build strife, but instead chose love over hate. Lastly, the Lord gives us the courage and strength not to Pray You Away when times get rough. In the name of Christ our God we pray. Amen!”

The Father is my hope. The Son is my refuge. The Holy Spirit is my protection. Holy Trinity, glory to You!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

May YAHWEH Bless you all,
