Our Daily Bread: Isaiah 41-43 Study: The Lord Choses You, We don't chose Him, bear His fruit-truth

Shalom,

Good Thursday morning it’s October 7, 2021, I pray all is well. What does it mean to be redeemed? Today we will learn in Scripture that The Lord chooses us, we don't choose Him, and we have been commanded to keep His Commandments, and love everyone as we all love ourselves. We are taught to love and pray for those who hate us, and even for the ones that love us. So what does it mean to truly be a Christian it’s not about religious practices, or the works we do only for ourselves. It’s not about how big our following is but the most important thing that I have been called to do, is to bring transgressors to Christ, and hope the sinners will turn back to the Lord.

“What does it mean to be a Christian, to be a Christian we must live Christ like. Christ must be in everything we do, yes we are imperfect thrown into imperfect situations daily. But in order to feel our redemption we must deny not only our flesh, but deny ourselves the pleasures of this fallen world, Stand for Christ, and stand for the weak, and help the poor and needy!”

Today’s Reading and Scripture work from our Bible Study will cover Isaiah 41-43: Today’s message, Readings and Scripture Work will cover Philippians 4:6, and will end with John 15:10-17:

In the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!

Prayer of Enlightenment

Having received this new day as a gift, I thank you, Holy Trinity, for through Your

goodness and patience You were not wrathful with me, an idler and a sinner, neither have You cast me down in my sins. But You have shown Your love towards me and have guided me to keep my daily watch and to glorify Your power. Enlighten my mind to study Your word and open my heart to understand Your teachings in Scripture. Help me to apply what I learn and to praise You with all of my heart and to glorify Your holy name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

41: 2-7: This is a messianic prophecy, but it may also refer to Cyrus of Persia, who will conquer Babylon in 539 BC, allowing the captive Jews to return and rebuild the temple. Cyrus is named in Isaiah 44:28, and Isaiah 45:1.

41:4: I Am, repeated twenty-seven times in chapters 41-49, means “I am the existing One.” This phrase is traditionally written in Greek in Christ’s halo on Orthodox icons (Ὁ ὬΝ). This is how the Son and Word of YHWH revealed Himself to Moses, (Exodus 3:14).

41:8-20: This prophecy will be fulfilled not only at the fall of Babylon and the return of the Jews from exile, but also through the Apostles and the Church, which will prevail over every type of persecution.

41:14-16: Israel, few in number: This also looks ahead to the Church, established at Pentecost with just twelve apostles.

41:20: The Lord’s hand (or “arm”) is Christ Himself, reference (Isaiah, 26:11; 52:10; 53:1; 59:1; 66:1-2).

42:1: I put My Spirit upon Him: mentions all Three Persons of the Holy Trinity. “I and My” speak of the Father, “Him” is the Son; “Spirit” is the Holy Spirit.

42:8: Christ does not share His glory with another, whether it be carved images or people who take personal credit for things YHWH has done.

42:10-12: In Christ, the glorified Church will sing...a new song (Revelation 5:9).

42:13-17: This passage prophecies Christ’s mighty acts of vengeance against His enemies at the Judgement. He will turn darkness into light for the faithful.

42:25: Fire all around: This Prophecy was fulfilled historically when the Romans sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple in 70 AD:

Isaiah 43: http://bib.ly/Isa43.NKJV : “REDEEMED”- “REDEMPTION”

43:1-4: The Lord names His people “you are mine” because He, together with His Father and the Holy Spirit, created man and will assume human nature. Christ will pass through every affliction with us: taking sin, suffering, and death on Himself; overthrowing our adversaries; and offering us His salvation.

43:5-15: YHWH will gather His Church from all the nations. Christ is the Servant, chosen by the Father to bear witness to all mankind, (John 8:18).

“The Holy One of Israel, the Chosen One who was hidden in time by the Father, the Lord of Spirits, with His own free will ascended on that cross to free us from the snares and attacks of Satan. He settled the score, and broke the curse of our fallen world, He chose the ones to help spread His words, and give us the tools to help sinners turn back to Him. Yes, Redemption is a choice, and salvation is a gift, but we don’t choose Him, He chooses us!”

Philippians 4:6: http://bib.ly/Phi4.6.NKJV : Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

4:6: Paul often uses the word always in relation to prayer. Rejoicing always is a fruit of perseverance in daily prayers (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). How do we handle the daily pressures of life? (1) faith that the Lord is at hand, present with us; (2) refusing to worry, being anxious for nothing; (3) prayer, (4) thanksgiving...to YHWH; (5) meditation on that which is virtuous, and imitating the godly.

One cannot love YHWH and disobey His commandments. To love YHWH is to obey Him and the messages He gives us to share. Friendship is higher than servanthood. Servants obey their masters out of fear or a sense of duty; friends obey out of love and internal desire to do what is good and right. Abraham was called a “Friend of YHWH(James 2:23) because he obeyed YHWH out of the belief of his heart. The disciples, and indeed all the saints, are honored as friends of Christ because they feely obey His commandments out of love. Those who have this spirit of loving obedience are open to receive and understand the revelations of the Father. In verse 16, Yeshua said you do not choose me, but I chose you to be my followers, meaning salvation is truly a gift, but our redemption is truly a choice.

“The Lord chooses us; we don't choose Him. We make a choice to follow and to accept our redemption. The Path of traveling and living Christ like is made for us all if we choose to deny ourselves rather living for earthly desires that are intended to draw us further away from YHWH. Lord, thank you again for giving me the strength to bear the fatigues of each new day. I have kept Your Percepts, washed away and cleanse me of all my sins. I know you desire truth, You have shown me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom, renew a right spirit within me, and do not cast me from your presence, and do not take the Holy Spirit from me. You have Chosen me to to spread your great messages, and to help turn sinners back to, O’ Lord of my soul, my soul waits for You, and waits for Your Words in the morning, Bless the Lord of my soul, the King of the Universe Who bring forth the fruit of the Vine!”

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

May YAHWEH Bless you all,
