Our Daily Bread: Humility, Generosity & Discipline: Proverbs 22, & 23-

Shalom,

Good Wednesday morning it’s June 23, 2021, I pray all is well. Heather and I had fun last night. We decided to drive to Three Rivers Casino and Resort over in Florence, OR on the beautiful Oregon coast. We played a few games on the slot machines and didn’t seem to have much luck. Later on we had dinner there at the Casino and the food along with the overall service was outstanding. Our night was a blessed one for sure and what a way to top off fourteen years together and growing stronger as a couple each day. Today’s readings and reflections will come from Proverbs 22:1-29 and Proverbs 23:1-35.

Proverbs 22:1-29 (Wisdom with hard work and being a good neighbor)

Proverbs 22:9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

Humility goes a long way! God is showing me this everyday and all I have to do is open up my mind and heart. I need to constantly listen to the messages he is putting on my heart in all situations, good or bad. Patience and recognizing our triggers we all have them trust me; use God to help you see them. The Bible goes into great detail how having humility can change the outcomes to all situations. As I have seen in the last six months my outcomes have been a lot easier for me to overcome with less stress and anxiety. This is a good area for me to work on because of the world that is coming. I know humility and patience is what I’m going to need to be a good neighbor so things get accomplished. I also see the power of generosity and how far that can go as well which leads me back to humility. Over the years I struggled in many of these areas not because I was better than anyone. My problem was I felt coldness inside and the thought of opening myself up would only be a weakness. Now I know the way I am living now is more peaceful and more beneficial to me. No other time in my life I have ever felt this way so I’m sharing my story of redemption, and Yeshua (Jesus) truly saves!

Proverbs 23:1-35 (Live a Disciplined Life)

Proverbs 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
