Our Daily Bread: Good Ideas When We Pray to YHWH...

Bless the Lord, all His works,

In all places of His dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Psalm 103:22

DAY 8: Good Ideas when we Pray:

Job 12:7-8: “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you;

And the birds of the air, and they will tell you;

8

Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you;

And the fish of the sea will explain to you.

12:7-8: Somewhere along the way in my studies I read something interesting about George Washington Carver. He was an early riser and enjoyed daily strolls through the woods enjoying the beauties and wonders of YHWH’s Creation. It’s also an interesting fact to know that Job 12:7-8 was one of his favorite Bible verses, being one that was circled in his personal Bible. George Washington Carver took this verse at face value, and who wouldn’t if we believe what’s written in the Bible. He would ask YHWH to reveal to him the mysteries of our planet, and how food is made, along with mysteries containing different species.

“Reading different ideas like this from other believers only strengthens me. It’s yet another idea to challenge us as believers in the Faith of Christ, for it is written ``ask and shall receive, and seek and you shall find, and knock and the door will open!”

Romans 12:3-8: For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophecy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

12:3-8: We live out our faithful relationship with YAHWEH in the Church, the body of Christ, with humility, sober thoughts, and proper use of spiritual gifts. Ministry requires functioning together in diversity. The seven gifts mentioned here should not be understood to be exhaustive; rather these gifts represent all the infinite gifts YAHWEH has given to us.

“THE AWARENESS of finding and doing Your work with the gifts you’ve given me blesses me on and off my job. Go with me, O God, into every avenue of my life and show me how to use my unique talents.

“A Maple leaf is a maple leaf and not a snowflake, and we are human creatures, each one sharing in our humanness, but each one also uniquely different.

KEEP ASKING, SEEKING, AND KNOCKING:

Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

The Father is my hope. The Son is my refuge. The Holy Spirit is my protection. Holy Trinity, glory to You!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

May YAHWEH Bless you all,
