Our Daily Bread: Day 27: Prayer and Fasting...

The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7

DAY 27: Prayer and Fasting

Matthew 17:19-21: http://bib.ly/Mt17.19-21.NKJV :

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 [b]However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

17:19-21: St. John Chrysostom notes this rebuke and is directed at the nine disciples who could not cast out the demon, whereas “the pillars” of faith...Peter, James, and John (Galatians 2:9)...were not included in the rebuke, as they had been on the mountain with Christ (v. 1)...

This kind (v. 21) refers to all powers of darkness, not simply those that cause a particular illness...The banishment of demons requires faith (v.20), prayer, and fasting (v.21), for there is no healing and no victory in spiritual warfare without all three...Beginning with the Didache, the Fathers have taught that both the person in need of healing and person performing the healing must believe, pray, and fast…

“The Three Pillars, faith, prayer and fasting...I stress these things because they are not only scripture but the pathway to the Kingdom of Heaven...The secrets of heaven aren’t difficult and the treasures you're searching for are our spiritual ones, but it starts with the “Three Pillars”...Spiritual warfare is real and we do not fight or even quarrel with flesh and blood, but with the principalities of darkness evil from the heavenly places...Our fallen world is preparing itself for the final battle and judgement, fear not for He is returning for His Bride...The wicked will be no more, and He will wipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no pain and suffering and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess He is the Lord of all, the Lord of the Most High...Yeshua, Christ our God is truly our salvation…

bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
Luke 6:28

My Personal Daily Prayer Book

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the [a]patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

15:4: The bounty of mankind’s hope can be found in the Scriptures...It is through the witness of the Scriptures that we learn of the patience not only for Israel and the Church, but of YHWH...Likewise, it is through the promises, victories, and spiritual struggles recorded in the Scriptures that we find true comfort…

“I love reading this passage because it’s true and this passage is alive...I find all the hope, patience, and comfort I need in the Scriptures...I’m always studying my Bible and the Lord has put me on a path for a ministry that is preparing His people for the spiritual war that is truly coming soon!!! We all have a purpose in the Lord, and with that stated what are you waiting for, pick up your Cross, and join us!!!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

The Father is my hope. The Son is my refuge. The Holy Spirit is my protection. Holy Trinity, glory to You!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!

May YAHWEH Bless you all,

Good morning, my brothers and sisters in Christ; I pray all is well. It has been a few days since I have done a study, and this morning's write-up, which draws its wisdom from 2 Timothy 4:3-5 (NKJV),
