Our Daily Bread: Day 26: Pray Without Ceasing!!!

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love [a]mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
MICAH 6:8

DAY 26: Pray Without Ceasing!!!

1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18: http://bib.ly/1Th5.17-18.NKJV

pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

The requirements of harmonious life in community include the honoring of sacramental leadership, pursuit of good works, continual prayer and thanksgiving in worship, and proper regard for the prophetic gift and spiritual discernment…

“Praying without ceasing means three things...When we began a prayer the idea is to pray all the way through to the end without ceasing or hesitation, but this this can be a difficult task...If interruptions happen, I usually stop take a deep breath, and let the Father know I’m sorry, then I clear my head and proceed with the prayer...Sometimes we have to force ourselves to pray depending on our day or any other anxieties that could be weighing us down...Lastly praying without ceasing is just recognizing The Lord in all we do, like for example, say a quick prayer before tasks or before anything that we would require His guidance on...It’s having a relationship with Christ in all we do it’s vital to flip our cross from upside down to rightside up…

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.

Matthew 25:14-30: http://bib.ly/Mt25.14-30.NKJV :

The Parable of the Talents

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

25:14-30: This parable illustrates the use of gifts given by YAHWEH...Even one talent was a great sum of money; here it represents the goodness of YHWH has bestowed on each person...The amount each receives is based on that person’s abilities (Roman 12:4-7 http://bib.ly/Ro12.4-7.NKJV )...YHWH does not show partiality in the ultimate reward, for all are invited to share the same joy (vv. 21, 23)...

BLESS US, O LORD, as we toss ourselves, unique talents and all, into the stream of life, as if called to make ripples wherever we are...Use us to spread love, which is a gift that keeps making ever-widening circles eventually reaching even those stranded on the edge of the shore…

-My Personal Daily Prayer Book

“Lord, the only thing I want and need is You and to dwell in Your Everlasting Kingdom for the rest of my days...I know this fallen world has nothing to offer me, there is no sum of money or even pieces of gold or even silver that can make me drop my Faith in You...You are the ultimate Protetor, the ultimate Healer of both our body and souls, You advocate directly for us...When this fallen worlds advocates against us, You calm my anxieties, and heal my pains, and You comfort my emotions when I’m down...You are the One Who carries me when I have no steps left to take...I know soon the wicked will be no more, and evil will be purged forever...There it will burn and be tormented for all of eternity for all it’s sins and afflictions on the People of YHWH...Lastly, My Lord, My King, my Salvation, Christ my God, help mold me into a messenger of repentance so sinners will turn back to You O Gracious One…

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen!
