Our Daily Bread: Call Out To God! He is both life and light! Revelation 1:10-13 Study continued:

Shalom,

Good Tuesday morning it’s August 3, 2021, I pray all is well.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Glory to You, our God, glory to You!

The First Hour Prayer:

O God, You are my God, at dawn I seek You. -Psalm 63:1

Come, let us adore our God and King!

Come, let us adore Christ, our God and King!

Come, let us adore and fall down before the same Lord Jesus Christ, our God and King!

Psalm 5- part of Prayer: http://bib.ly/Ps5.KJV

Prayer: Lord, Lord, both day and night belong to You. You formed the light and the sun and marked the bounds of the earth. And we pray: let Your mercy shine on our wretchedness like the dawning light; free us from the shadow of death, and from all the attacks and snares of the evil one. For we proclaim the glory and holiness of Your name, worthy of all honor and majesty, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever to the ages of ages. Amen!

Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy upon us and save us. Amen!

Have any of us ever set back and wonder how God might be doing with all the craziness lately. Have any of us ever wonder how He might feel about all the different ways the Gospel is being taught or even preached. So much confusion lately so I always seek God first and foremost now in my decision making. Yeshua (Jesus) stated to first seek the Kingdom of Heaven and then everything else will fall into place. Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven means first seek God, because you can’t claim to be doing work in His name when you haven’t asked Him first. I wake up with my message already put on my heart, but first I seek God in my morning prayer routine before posting. I do this because the Gospel tells me in James 2:14-26, that faith without works is dead, and works without faith are also dead meaning these things by themselves means you are lacking God’s guidance. Jesus is telling us one simple thing here: anything we do without Him a part of it is basically dead in the water and you are only going through the motions and you alone can’t get yourself in heaven by being only a good person!

Revelation 1:10-13

1:10: In the Spirit seems to be meaning that John received the Revelation in a vision (Ezekiel 3:12)... We could have been in worship praying “In Spirit and in truth” of the Lord. The Lord’s Day is the earliest reference to Sunday as a day of worship, the eighth day, first day of the new creation; this is also seen in 2En 33:1 showing us the first day of the timeless age to come. The loud voice, as of a trumpet, is a symbol that is used to show the appearance of the Lord (Ex19:16-19, Mt24:31; 1CO 15:52; 1Th4:16).

1:11-12: Yeshua (Jesus) is glorified and introduces Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, He is God the Father. Seven Lampstands signifies His presence in the Church (Mt 5:14). The seven golden lampstands, a fusion of the great menorah of the temple with it’s seven lamps (Ex 25:31-37; Zec 4:2; & Heb 9:2). The Golden lampstands of Solomon’s temple (3Kg 7:35). Represent the fullness of God’s presence. Also symbolizes the seven churches of Asia, some scholars suggest John was in the Church in a liturgical setting during the writing of Revelation.

1:13: One like the Son of Man… Daniel had a vision of a messianic figure (Daniel 7:13) this was also repeated by Stephen at his martyrdom in Acts 7:56. Christ calls Himself Son of Man (Matthew 24:30). Christ fulfilled Daniel’s prophecy and many parallels can be seen in both the NT and the OT (Dan 10:6, Mt17:2, Eph 6:17, Heb 4:12). Christ is also vested in high-priestly garments (Exodus 28:4; 29:5; Lv 16:4, Wsol 18:24; Zec 3:4-5). The gold with which He is given is both royal and priestly.

This is today’s stopping point by looking at the time I’m trying to stay within the time of the First Hour of Prayer. We continue to take our time in Revelation and I will each day give us short messages on how to strengthen our spiritual bodies for the times to come. Take care and God Bless you all..

Psalm of Thanksgiving

I give You thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the angels I sing Your praise; I bow before Your holy presence and give thanks to Your name for Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness; For You have exalted above everything Your name and Your word. On the day I called, You answered me; my strength of soul You increased. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my adversaries, and Your right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your Steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. (Psalm 138: 1-3, 7-8)

Closing and Lord’s Prayer

Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on me and save me. Amen!

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen

God Bless You All!
