Welcome back to JPCE Spiritual Talk. I'm Jared W. Campbell. Today is April 15, 2021, and my notes and thoughts are from Saint John Chapter 4- Jesus Talks with a Samaritan Woman, This has to be one of my favorite stories only because this is when Jesus fully begins his ministries. Keep in mind before this he hadn’t done much as far as making himself known to the public. Jesus broke barriers folks they were on their way to Samaria, keep in mind his disciples were Jewish. The Jews and Samaritans were enemies at the time, even though serving the same God, many of them remained divided.

At this time there were different factions of Judaism, Pharisees they were scholars who interpreted the law to the masses. (Believed in afterlife) well respected. Sadducee's were professional religious aristocracy - They submitted to Roman Rule- Essene's, separatists they were big on holy prayer, holy living, and the future. (Not directly mentioned in the New testament. Lastly there were Zealots they were in my opinion freedom fighters, they rebelled against both Rome and Jewish leaders who cooperated with Rome. These guys were usually crucified by Rome for example.

The woman at the well with Jesus that day her name was unknown but later she was baptized as Photine. At first the woman was put off by Jesus, because he was a jew, and she was a Samaritan. There was a ton of bad blood between the two 100’s of years of fighting and hate didn’t help. Jesus asked Photine for a drink. She then responds why would you take a drink for me as a Samaritan?'' Jesus said if I knew who I was you would ask me for a drink, those who drink from this well will thirst again. Those who drink from me will never thirst again, the woman still isn’t convinced he is the messiah. The moment Jesus mentioned all her deep darkest secrets and all her husbands, she nearly fainted. She cried out how she was rejected by all. Keep in mind she was going well during the heat of the day, because she was rejected. Jesus knew that that’s why he sent his disciples off for food while he waited for her.

One of my favorite stories because she was rejected by all, but not by the messiah. See, Jesus was rejected by all even his own people… Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men, a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. And we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.a prophecy from the old testament where Jesus would be rejected and punished by his own. Regardless Jesus broke barriers and accepted everyone no matter how bad their past is. See as born again Christians people love to define us by our past, rather than seeing our change. We live in a world where we have those who are fully awake, we have people basically half awake, then we have those who identify as sleepers. I struggle daily with these two factions of people, the half awake and the sleepers, they seem to be very misleading. These factions are very good at dividing the masses causing more problems with their extremes that never make sense.

Being judged by our past is a common goal for people who want to bring us back down to misery. Today’s message is about rejection and being judged by our past lives rather than who we are moving forward. Photine had multiple husbands five to be right, she had affairs and wasn’t perfect. That is just that neither were the multiple men in her life; they too were seasoned sinners, but quickly outcast her. That was the time women had no voice until Jesus came around to break those barriers. Photine told everyone in Samaria about Jesus, and what he told her. Jesus was able to accomplish a lot in Samaria even using little miracles, but that continued discussion for another time.

We can all relate to rejection to some degree, but what I find interesting. We are still struggling to fix problems Jesus was trying to 2000 years ago. Rejection for any reason is wrong, yet we continue to this day. We reject others by race, social, political or even religious rejections. To this day it happens even though certain pioneers claim to be combating some of these rejections, but in the long run they are creating more patterns of rejection. I see the patterns of rejection to be a new normal, because the plan of division seems healthier for a select few of these factions. Why fix problems when excuses give these people a reason for their existence. In the end rejection accomplishes nothing for any of us, it leads to relationships on all levels destroyed. It also tears us away from not only creating healthy living, but tears us away from God.

This concludes my message for today. You all see how I will always make correlations to Yeshua, by both the old and the new testaments. Like I said yesterday ⅓ of the Bible is nothing but prophecies. In the coming weeks I’m going to do a segment on Creation and the Messiah. How those go hand and hand that’s going to be interesting, I’m getting my material in now so it’s going great. Eventually we will dig into all the followers of Christ including the women who followed him. As always take care and be safe- 1 John 4:15 Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God Dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Things meant to be, will always find a way”

John 3:5

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Here are my notes: God is Spirit- Jesus was chatting with Nicodemus here in this Part of John…. Those born again can only see the Kingdom of heaven..

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
