Morning Reflection & Reads: (Is 2:3-11; Genesis 1:24-2:3; Proverbs 2:1-22) - “Listen to God’s Voice”

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Isaiah 2:3-11

Many people shall come and say,“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,To the house of the God of Jacob;He will teach us His ways,And we shall walk in His paths.”For out of Zion shall go forth the law,And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.4 He shall judge between the nations,And rebuke many people;They shall beat their swords into plowshares,And their spears into pruning [a]hooks;Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,Neither shall they learn war anymore.

The Day of the Lord

5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walkIn the light of the Lord.

6 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob,Because they are filled with eastern ways;They are soothsayers like the Philistines,And they [b]are pleased with the children of foreigners.7 Their land is also full of silver and gold,And there is no end to their treasures;Their land is also full of horses,And there is no end to their chariots.8 Their land is also full of idols;They worship the work of their own hands,That which their own fingers have made.9 People bow down,And each man humbles himself;Therefore do not forgive them.

10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust,From the terror of the LordAnd the glory of His majesty.11 The [c]lofty looks of man shall be humbled,The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down,And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Genesis 1:24-2:3

24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [b]moves on the earth.”

29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb thatyields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is [c]life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

The Garden of Eden

2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

The Holy Trinity also made man. God the Father is speaking to God the Son - (JohnChr), and He is using the personal pronouns,US AND OUR which indicates three distinct Persons in One Essence, beautiful the power of God the undivided Trinity. THE WORD IMAGE is in singular, and also showing the three distinct Persons of the Holy Trinity are one in nature and like previously stated undivided. For it does not say, "Our mages" - (HilryP). Man is not in one nature with the Holy Trinity, but instead He was made in the likeness of the HOLY TRINITY, he was made male and female, so the dignity of each man and woman is this image and likeness in which we were made.

Everything God has made is VERY GOOD, because God is good , He is great. Nothing God made is evil in itself. So as humans our nature is good in itself. But we all know that sin is a choice a free choice of man's will, which is in contrary to God's nature and human nature.

God finished making everything for man's sake. He rested on the seventh day to show is ultimate love to His creation. Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for tye Sabbath" - (Mark 2:27). We are all invited to enjoy this Sabbath rest. Man failed to keep this Sabbath. Jesus fulfilled it for all of mankind by resting in the tomb on Great Holy Saturday, when He said on the Cross, "It is finished" - (John 19:30). We find rest in the yoke of Christ, (Matthew 11:28-30).

John 1:1-5

The Eternal Word

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, part of JOHN 1:14 ...

Proverbs 2:1-23

Read from Orthodox Study Bible

There are two roads on which all of mankind is traveling: the road of evil is nothing about vices, the good road is the path of virtues. So all roads lead to Christ, all paths. Let me explain what I mean because it's simple doesn't require OVERTHINKING. We all travel different paths meaning each of our struggles are different but each hold the ability to lead us to good or to evil, because it's all about free will. We either choose to live good or we choose to live bad and cut off from God. It's simple living bad and unrepentant leads to death and Hades, while living good and in step with God leads us to the world that is to come, eternal life.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
