Morning Reflection & Readings: (Is 5:16-25, Gen 4:16-26, Prov 5:16-6:3) - See my Note …

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

NOTE: Today's video was 20:32 long and the Greek Word for today is ἐπουράνιος epouránios, ep-oo-ran'-ee-os; from G1909 and G3772; above the sky:—celestial, (in) heaven(-ly), high. Todays message was this something big is coming and it's a feeling on my heart. The message was this the best preparation a person can do during these times is be spiritually prepared for what's coming. The most important thing to ask God for daily is His mercy and that's enough for your salvation deny yourselves pick up your Cross and truly follow Him.

JOHN 3:12

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Isaiah 5:16-25

But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment,And God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.17 Then the lambs shall feed in their pasture,And in the waste places of the [a]fat ones strangers shall eat.

18 Woe to those who [b]draw iniquity with cords of [c]vanity,And sin as if with a cart rope;19 That say, “Let Him make speed and hasten His work,That we may see it;And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come,That we may know it.”

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,And prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine,Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe,And take away justice from the righteous man!

24 Therefore, as the [d]fire devours the stubble,And the flame consumes the chaff,So their root will be as rottenness,And their blossom will ascend like dust;Because they have rejected the law of the Lordof hosts,And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.25 Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people; He has stretched out His hand against themAnd stricken them,And the hills trembled.Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets.

For all this His anger is not turned away,But His hand is stretched out still.

The Prophet Isaiah is describing the sins of his people. We see comparison of the world we live in today all over the world including right here in our backyard of America. The prophet Isaiah was describing sins as follows- GREED, LOVE OF PLEASURE, INDIFFERENCE TO GOD, INTENTIONAL EVIL ACTS, MOCKING GOD, PERVERSION OF THE TRUTH, VANITY AND CONCEIT, DISHONESTY AND FINALLY, REJECTING GOD'S LAW AND DESPISING HIS WORD. Sin leads to death and destruction and the Bible gives us very good and extremely vivid examples of what happens to Nations who live in this manner.

Genesis 4:16-26

The Family of Cain

16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lordand dwelt in the land of [a]Nod on the east of Eden. 17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech.

19 Then Lamech took for himself two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah. 20 And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and [b]flute. 22 And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.

23 Then Lamech said to his wives:

“Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have [c]killed a man for wounding me,Even a young man [d]for hurting me.24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold,Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”

A New Son

25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him [e]Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him [f]Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

"NOD" means "one who wanders from God."

SETH: שֵׁת Shêth, shayth; from H7896; put, i.e. substituted; Sheth, third son of Adam:—Seth, Sheth.

Seth = "compensation" meaning God compensated Adam and Eve by rising up Seth in the place of their murdered son Abel - out of death comes life. So Seth is seen as a type of Christ's Resurrection, which overcame the way of Cain and so it compensates all the faithful ills they have all undergone. Christ's genealogy is traced through Seth to Adam, it's showing us that the true God became incarnate as true Man in order to compensate all who call upon His Name - (Luke 3:38).

Luke 3:38:  the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God. Adam means "man" so Christ declares Himself as both the "Son of Man" and the "Son of God".

In contrast to Cain's offspring, Seth's offspring, his son Enosh, hoped in the Lord and called on His Name. For this is the way of salvation. "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" - (Joel 2:32; and Romans 10:13).

Joel 2:32: And it shall come to pass

That whoever calls on the name of the Lord

Shall be [a]saved.

For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [b]deliverance,

As the Lord has said,

Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.

Romans 10:13:

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Proverbs 5:15-6:3- Resd from Orthodox study Bible see my video for readings and discussion.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
