Chapter 6 - ACCEPTING ADVICE

PROVERBS 1:5

A wise man will hear and increase learning,

And a man of understanding will [a]attain wise counsel,

The book of Proverbs was written that one might know Christ, the Wisdom of God ... St. Paul points out that Christ is the power of God and the Wisdom of God" - (1 Co 1:24) ...

(1 Corinthians 1:24)

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Wisdom (Christ) always instructs those who know Him ... The word instruction in v. 2 in Proverbs 1- incorporates these aspects: teaching, correction, discipline, reproof, learning, education as well as training...
