Morning Reflection: (2Timothy 2:1-13; Mark 2:23-3:1-5) - “Faithful Ministry” & “Righteous Anger” …

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Please see my small write up, I added some other scriptures that were not mentioned in the video, I made references to them but forgot to read them and I apologize. I added those extra readings to the write up and thank you all again for following, peace be with you all.

Psalm 63.11,1 .

The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord.

Verse: Oh God, hear my cry.

2Timothy 2:1-13

Be Strong in Grace - Transmitting The Faith

2 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure[a] hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7 Consider what I say, and [b]may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

8 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the [c]elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

11 This is a faithful saying:

For if we died with Him,We shall also live with Him.12 If we endure,We shall also reign with Him.If we deny Him,He also will deny us.13 If we are faithless,He remains faithful;He cannot deny Himself.

"A faithful ministry requires DISCIPLINE: Obedience, self-denial, and struggle."

"Even our personal walks with God requires DISCIPLINE: Obedience, self- denial, and struggle because it's about putting God as the highest priority."

Mark 2:23-3:5

Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath

23 Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

25 But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”

27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore

the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

Healing on the Sabbath3 And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might [a]accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, [b]“Step forward.” 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched itout, and his hand was restored [c]as whole as the other.

(I also read from Luke 6:1-5 -THE LORD OF THE SABBATH)

In Mark 3:5 - Talks about RIGHTEOUS ANGER, something I'm dealing with right now. Righteous anger is a natural emotion experienced in the face of sin being done wrong. There is anger that is certainly sinful- (Matthew 5:22:): 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother[a]without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’[b] shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, [c]‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of [d]hell fire. There is also anger that is God given and proper to humanity - (Psalm 4:4-5): "Know that the Lord made His Holy One wondrous; the Lord will hear me when I cry to Him. Be angry and do not sin, have remorse upon your beds for what you say in your hearts." Christ was upset and His anger is in response to people who profess God, yet having such HARDNESS IN THEIR HEARTS, that they would not even rejoice in the healing of one of their own brothers. Today my struggle is with righteous anger, but I'm also refraining myself from communion today until I get right with God.

"As teachers and leaders in spreading the Word of God we are live by example even in our bad times. Only the Lord can bring me out of the place I'm in right now."

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
