THE LAWS OF WISDOM – Proverbs 3:1-10
(See v. 1,2) – FORGETFULNESS is forgetting of Wisdom’s (Christ’s) laws on virtue, and the cure and it’s beginning starts with OBEDIENCE from the HEART to WISDOM … This obedience is what leads down a road of life and peace … The Holy Spirit gives us peace …
FAITHFULNESS – Proverbs 3:4-10 –
Faithfulness in almsgiving – (v. 3) is a manifestation of obedience to Wisdom – (Christ) from the HEART, and helps us all not to forget His laws … For the one who forgets the laws of Wisdom exalts his own wisdom – (v. 5), and stumbles on the straight path – (v. 6), relies on his own discernment – (v. 7, and turns to evil passions – (v. 7) … BUT ALMSGIVING is part of the golden chain around one’s neck – (v. 3, see also Proverbs 1:10) … Anyone who is attached to material possessions will soon forsake Wisdom and His Laws – (v. 3) …
INSTRUCTION OF WISDOM – Proverbs 3:11-22
- Rebellion is an offspring of forgetfulness because of a heart that despises and faints under Wisdom’s instructions – one is REPROOF – (v. 11) … For Wisdom instructs and chastises His children, because He loves them – (v. 12; see also Hebrews 12:5, 6); otherwise, they would forget God and fall into rebellion against Him … But the education of Wisdom leads to discernment – (v. 13) and righteousness – (v. 18)

THE CURE OF CARELESSNESS – Proverbs 3:23-38
The one who forgets Wisdom becomes careless – (v. 23) … This happens because of fearfulness – (v. 27), intimidation – (v. 28), unfaithfulness in almsgiving – (vv. 30, 31), betrayal – (v. 32), quarrelsome – (v. 33), lawlessness – (vv. 34, 35), the CURSE OF GOD – (v. 36), arrogance – (v. 37), and dishonor – (v. 38) … The cure is found in – (v. 25) is the grace of the virtues: discernment, righteousness, courage, self- control – (GRACE AROUND YOU NECK, v. 24) …

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
