The Parable - “THE MAN” is God the Father (v.1) the vineyard planted is all of God’s people … And God the Father entrusted this vineyard to the vinedressers which is the Jewish leaders … ( v . 2) - the servants sent are the OT Testament prophets… (v.6) - Therefore having one Son, His beloved, Hecalso sent Him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my Son’ … Christ is the Son that is sent and killed … The Son is cast out of the vineyard to be killed is understood on two levels: (1): that Jesus was killed outside Jerusalem; and (2): that Jesus was crucified by foreign soldiers, not by those of His own vineyard … (v. 9)- others later receiving the vineyard is talking about the Gentiles being brought to the Church …
(v. 12)- the “THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE” - is Christ … a cornerstone unites two walls, and Christ is the Cornerstone that brings together both Jew and Gentile believers, so beautiful…
Psalm 32:8 - (NKJV)
