Morning Reads: - (Acts 18:22-28) - (John 10:39-42) "Fervent in Spirit, Humility and Faith" …

Good morning … Great is His faithfulness …

"THIS MORNING I SPOKE ABOUT MY SPEECH DISABILITY , THE ONE I HAD AS A KID, AND WHEN I SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY IN THE ARMY CREATING ANOTHER PROBLEM FOR ME WHEN IT CAME TO SPEAKING AND READING … WITH THE LORD'S HELP I HAVE OVERCOMMED THIS AND HE IS MAKING GREAT USE OF MY SPIRITUAL GIFTS" …

TOTAL TIME 18:47 - HAVE A BLESSED DAY …

Psalm 18.4,1

Their voice has gone out into all the earth. Verse: The heavens declare the glory of God.

The reading is from Acts of the Apostles 18:22-28

IN THOSE DAYS, when Paul had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch. After spending some time there, he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples. Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesos. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and expounded to him the way of God more accurately. And when he wished to cross to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed, for he powerfully confuted the Jews in public, showing by the scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.

Two great qualities that are summed up Apollos for us right here in scripture: (1): In – (v. 25) Apollos, he is FERVENT IN SPIRIT, meaning he was passionate and full of intensity in the spirit … (2): It portrays him as a humble man … A fervent person can be very useful to God, and it doesn’t matter if he is not yet taught well … Apollos wasn’t established in the Church, but that did not keep him from speaking BODLY IN THE SYNAGOGUE – (v. 26) … By his submission to the correction by the two tentmakers, and by whom was a woman – offensive to most educated men in his culture especially currently … According to the Orthodox Study Bible commentary, AQUILA AND PRICILLA displayed great decency and wisdom: they did not correct Apollos publicly, but they rather TOOK HIM ASIDE privately …

"This was an act of true spiritual leadership and guidance" …

- I’m only two years into my full surrender to Christ, and I seem to have the same qualities of Apollos does right now in my own ministry … I have a speech impairment, as a kid I had a stuttering problem especially when it came to reading outload, or even calling plays on the football field … I also suffered a head injury while in the Army - (during my time deployed for Iraq), which also led me to a speech problem which now the Lord has made great use of my spiritual gifts regardless of my disability …

"The Lord uses our disabilities and He makes good use of our spiritual gifts regardless of any shortcomings just like a speech impairment or not being well taught or even educated" …

The Gospel According to John 10:39-42

At that time, the Jews tried to arrest Jesus, but he escaped from their hands. He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John at first baptized, and there he remained. And many came to him; and they said, "John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true." And many believed in him there.

- Jesus went to His Passion voluntarily and according to His own will … He came as the Lamb God, the sacrifice that would take way the sins of the world and reconciling everyone back to God … Just like Moses lifted the bronze serpent and the people only had to look to be healed, it was an act of faith, by them giving in it was their faith that made them well that day in the wilderness … It like so the Son of Man was lifted on the Cross, and all who believe in Him will have eternal life … Beautiful my brothers and sisters in Christ … It’s act of faith giving it all to our Creator …

Numbers 6:24-26

24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord[e]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace
