Welcome back to JPCE SPIRITUAL TALK and our Bible Studies, I pray everyone who is following has learned a great deal like I have...Today is Matthew 9 we have 38 verses to cover, and today we are learning The Paralytic Restored, Sinners Received, The New Wine of the Kingdom, A Healing and a Resurrection, Two Blind Men Healed, A Demoniac Healed, and lastly a Plentiful Harvest!!!

THE PARALYTIC RESTORED, (SEE ALSO, MARK 2:1-12; LUKE 5:17-26)
MATTHEW 9:1-8:
9:1: Yeshuas' own city is CAPERNAUM (MATTHEW 4:13):
9:2-8: Healing the paralytic, shows that faith is an indispensable condition for salvation: Faith is both collective and personal, for the faith of the paralytic's friends helped in his healing (v. 2): Three signs of Yeshuas' divinity are being shown here: (1): He knows our hearts and all of our secrets He knows our thoughts (1Kg 16:7; 2 Chronicles 6:30); (2): He forgive sins, a power that only rest with the Lord our God proving they are in One Essence of each other, (3): Lastly He Heals by the power of His Word!!!
SINNERS RECEIVED, (SEE, ALSO MARK 2:13-17; LUKE 5:27-32)
MATTHEW 9:9-13:
9:9-13: MATTHEW: Also named LEVI (MARK 2:14): Roman overlords assigned in specific areas Jewish Tax Collectors, who were free, given permission to collect extra revenues of their own profit!!! The collaboration with the occupying Romans, made the Jewish people hate their own tax collectors, and so they were considered unclean (Matthew 11:19): With Yeshua dinning with them and accepting a tax collector as a disciple (FOLLOW ME)- THIS OFFENDED THE PHARISEES, yet Christ's defense is a simple one: He goes where the need of the physician is great mercy is a higher priority, see also (PSALM 50-PSALM 51 DEPENDING ON YOUR VERSION, SEE MY VIDEO)!!!
THE NEW WINE OF THE KINGDOM, (SEE, ALSO MARK 2:18-22; LUKE 5:33-39)
MATTHEW 9:14-17:
9:14-17: THE JEWISH PEOPLE USUALLY FASTED TWICE A WEEK: (LUKE 18:12), On Monday and Thursday, public fasts were often observed or occasionally proclaimed- see also, (2 Chronicles 20:3; 1Ez 8:49-50; Est 4:16; Joel 2:15), also on the Day on Atonement (Lv 16:31-34) and also in the times of mourning (Zechariah 7:5; 8:19): The Jews saw the day of the Messiah as a wedding feast-a time for joy and gladness: Yeshua (Jesus) is proclaiming that day, declaring Himself to be the Messiah/Bridegroom: For many Christians we see fasting as not gloomy but desirable , a bright sadness, by fasting, we gain self-control and prepare ourselves for the Wedding Feats that is quickly approaching!!! THE OLD GARMENT AND OLD WINESKINS Is the Old Covenant and The Law, which is viewed as imperfect and temporary; the NEW WINESKINS Are the New Covenant and all of us who are in Christ!!! The NEW WINE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT Which dwells within those who are renewed in Christ Jesus, and we are not and no longer constrained by the old percepts of the Law!!!
A HEALING AND A RESURRECTION, (SEE ALSO, MARK 5:21-43; LUKE 8:40-56)
MATTHEW 9:18-26:
9:18-26: AUTHORITY OVER LIFE AND DEATH: Is in the Hand of the Lord alone and no one else!!! (Dt 32:39; 1Kg 2:6): Being of One Essence with the Father, Yeshua (Jesus) has this authority (John 5:21): The Healing of this woman shows us Christ's true powers and abilities to cleanse and heal (see, Matthew 8:1-4): In the OT: See my video for full rundown!!!
TWO BLIND MEN HEALED & A DEMONIAC HEALED
MATTHEW 9:27-35:
9:27-33: ACCORDING TO ISAIAH, The Messianic Age will be signified when "the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear" (Isaiah 35:5): These healings are indeed a sign that Yeshua (Jesus) is the awaited Messiah- just like the Title of the Son of David by the blind men, who expresses their faith in this way of truth!!!
9:34: To cast out demons by the ruler of demons is impossible, like Yeshua stated a house divided against itself cannot stand!!! Yeshua performs miracles demons are unable to do themselves!!! See video for further discussion on this topic!!!
A PLENTIFUL HARVEST
MATTHEW 9:36-38:
9:36: Yeshua does not condemn sinners!!! Rather He see's us as lost sheep to be found and brought back to our real home: Compassion means "suffering with": The Sheep having no Shepherd, is drawn from the OT, (Numbers 27:17; 3Kg 22:17; Ezekiel 34:5), is an accusation against the Jewish leaders who, charged with the duty of shepherds, but acted as wolves instead!!!
9:37-38: THE HARVEST: IS SUGGESTING THE ABUNDANCE OF THOSE WHO ARE READY TO ACCEPT THE KINGDOM OF GOD: Yeshua is both the Sower and the Lord of the harvest: His disciples are sent not to sow, but to reap what He had sown by the Prophets (see, also John 4:36-38 and read notes!!!): How many are sent to harvest is less important than with what power they go into the harvest (Matthew 10:1): see my video commentary for further discussions on this topic!!!

MESSAGE ABOUT THE LORD'S PROVISION FOR US
1 TIMOTHY 6:11-17:
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only [a]Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
-What remarkable challenge is this for all of us serve the Lord our God, we are now in Christ!!! Continue to fight the good fight be steadfast in faith and teach in spirit and truth...Live simple the Lord will provide for all those who stay with Him, don't be frugal with money and riches rather if you have it use for good not evil!!!
