MATTHEW 13:1-58:
PARABLE OF THE SOWER, SEE ALSO (MARK 4:1-9; LUKE 8:4-8):
MATTHEW 13:1-9:
13:1-9: THE OT-Metaphors of sowing and harvesting are common (Psalm 125:5; Jeremiah 38:27-30; Hosea 2:21-23; Joel 3:2-14), this was all part of daily life: Here Yeshua (Jesus) is revealing Himself as the promised Messiah, the sower in the earth, who was foretold in (Isaiah 55:10-13):
THE MYSTERY OF PARABLES, SEE ALSO (MARK 4:10-12; LUKE 8:9-10)
MATTHEW 13:10-17:
13:11: THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM- Are not obscured concepts or some religious truths only for anyone considered to be an elitist, nor does the understanding of any of the parables have anything to do with a person's intellectual process or functioning!!! Even the disciples had problems fully understanding what Yeshua (Jesus) was trying to teach, Yeshua taught this message to all, it was the simple and the innocent who were the most open to His message!!!

THE SOWER EXPLAINED, SEE ALSO (MARK 4:13-20; LUKE 8:11-15)
MATTHEW 13:18-23:
-PARABLES: are stories in word-pictures, that reveals spiritual truth: Hebrew and in Aramaic words for "Parable" also mean "allegory", riddle, or proverb!!!: Parable were used and known in Jewish culture long before Yeshua (Jesus) (2Kg 12:1-4; 3Kg 21:35-42; and Isaiah 5:1-7), too name a few!!!
13:24-30: This parable is building on the previous one we just read the parable of the sower: Christ is telling us by giving attention to the enemy who has sown his seed among the seed of Christ: Falsehood came after truth and false prophets came after true prophets, many the Antichrist will come after Christ and he is coming very soon: Weeds always first appear similar to wheat, so the devil fashions his lies to what resemble the truth: the devil sowed while men slept indicates heresy and lies creep in when people are apathetic: The Parable is also teaching us (True Believers-Followers of Yeshua- The Church) should never condemn nominal members, do not judge those outside the faith-Church (1 Corinthians 5:12-13): wheat would be destroyed in weeding out the tares, so also, many people who might ultimately find salvation would otherwise be lost if condemned before Christ's judgement!!!
THE MUSTARD SEED AND THE LEAVEN, SEE ALSO (MARK 4:30-32; LUKE 13:18-21)
MATTHEW 13:31-33:
13:31-33: THE MUSTARD SEED AND THE LEAVEN- Represent the disciples- Started out with 12 and eventually the Message and the Word soon became the entire earth!!!

13:36-43: A REPEAT OF (VV. 24-30)- SEE VIDEO CONTENT
THE HIDDEN TREASURE AND THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE
MATTHEW 13:44-46:
13:44-46: THE PARABLE OF TREASURE HIDDEN IN A FIELD: This is illustrating those who unintentionally stumble upon Christ and His (Church-Followers), yet they receive Him with great eagerness: THE PARABLE OF THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE: illustrates those who have been searching in their hearts for Him and finally find Him and His (Church-True Believers, the truth): THE OTHER PEARLS: Represent all the various teachings and philosophies of the world: These treasures are hidden in that they are neither recognized or valued by those immersed in worldliness: So in both parables, receiving the treasure requires everything else must be sold, that is, a person must surrender all things in order to receive Christ!!!
THE DRAGNET
MATTHEW 13:47-50:
13:47-50: THE IMAGE OF THE FISHING NET- Gathering the good and the wicked together is similar to the parable we read of the wheat and the tares (vv. 36-43)- This parable is teaching that we are all subject to judgement at the same time???
OLD AND NEW WISDOM
MATTHEW 13:51-53:
13:52: According to St. John Chrysostom and notes that Yeshua (Jesus) does not exclude the OT, but rather praises it as a treasure: If we truly write or speak for the Kingdom of Heaven we will draw from the unity of the new and old Testaments, both are holy, along with the New being fulfilled of the Old: See (Matthew 1:22- and notes)!!!

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
-HUMILITY: Is the foundation of virtue; it is learned through submission and obedience to our Godly elders!!! Doing this simple act of humility, humbles ourselves under the mighty hand of the Lord our God!!!
