Isaiah 8 - Christ - “Cornerstone and Stumbling Stone”

Those who fear the Lord our God will not know Christ as a STUMBLING STONE when He comes, but to all those who end up succumbing to the enemy will FALL AND BE BROKEN against Christ, the “precious CORNERSTONE” …

Isaiah 28:16

A Cornerstone in Zion

16 Therefore thus says the Lord God:

“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,

A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;

Whoever believes will not act hastily…

Romans 9:33

33 As it is written:

“Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,

And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

A cornerstone unites two walls, Christ will unite all Jew and Gentiles believers… (1 Peter 2:6) …

The law given to Moses will be closed with the teachings of the apostles… Is Christ the law of Moses??? For it was Christ that gave the law to Moses …

The children in vv. 17, 18 are interpreted as the apostles and disciples of Christ, who performed many SIGNS AND WONDERS …

v. 19 - See the Prophet’s question, and compare it - WHY DO YOU SEEK THE DEAD ON BEHALF OF THE LIVING??? - Luke 24:5: “Why do you seek the living among the dead?”

God gave both men and women a natural LAW within them- the ability to choose the good and savior evil - but they chose selfishness… The Lord gave the law of Moses, and that too was broken … Darkness falls and overrun the souls that are without the light of the commandments…
