DAY31: UNBELIEF- (Mark 6:1-6) Confession (Psalm 37(38)- “Walk Your Own Walk”- See My Note for Friday

Good evening. Great is His faithfulness.

NOTE: Prophecy Friday- We will discuss both Genesis 3 and Revelation 12 those two go together and is a good start for our prophecy study. Friday's videos could be a little longer so we can get a good look into the scriptures of both Genesis 3 and Revelation 12, I forgot to mention this in tonight's video I got sidetracked on tonight's confession-reflection.

Mark 6:1-6

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth

6 Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. 2 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.

4 But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

Jesus gets a double response of both ASTONISHED (v. 2) and OFFENDED (v. 3) seems to occur frequently with all who encounter Christ -(Luke 11:14-16; John 9:16- read from Bible during my teaching video). Christ is rejected in HIS OWN COUNTRY is foreshadowing His rejection by the entire Jewish nation at His trial before Pilate -( John 19:14, 15). Also read Matthew 12:46-50, and spoke about Christ brothers. Jesus COULD DO NO MIGHTY WORK THERE in Nazareth, not because He lacked power, but because of the UNBELIEF of all but A FEW in His hometown. God's grace is offer to all, only those who receive His grace in faith obtains its benefits.

The devotional was a good read and went deeper into Mark 6:1-6, please see teaching video for the rest of this discussions and readings...

Confession and Refelction - Psalm 37(38) was read and reflected on and explained why I chose this for my confession tonight.

"We are either the masters or the victims of our attitudes. It is a matter of personal choice. Who we are today is the result of choices we made yesterday. Tomorrow, we will become what we choose today. To change means to choose to change." John Maxwell

"Walk your own walk"

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
