DAY TWENTY FOUR- “The Desires of Your Heart” (Psalm 37:4)

Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.


"THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART"


Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself also in the Lord,


And He shall give you the desires of your heart.


"Our relationships with God should bring us more joy and happiness than any other relationship or material possession could ever bring us."


Matthew 6:19-21

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.


By attaching ourselves to "TREASURES ON EARTH", we cut ourselves off from the heavenly treasures. Earthly treasures cause us to be slaves rather than free in Christ. The heart of TRUE DISCIPLESHIP- disentangling ourselves from the chains of earthly things, and instead we all need to attach ourselves to God, the true "TREASURE" (v. 21- Matthew 6).


Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;


25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,


And be gracious to you;


26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,


And give you peace.” ’
