DAY 37: CREATED
By Grace Through Faith
2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the [a]course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

DAY 37: CREATED
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast … For we are His workmanship, CREATED in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Two unequal kingdoms are at WAR … (see, vv. 1-7) – both spiritual in nature, and both stamp its image on its subjects and both require strict obedience … Yet both are opposite, meaning one is perishable while the other is eternal and everlasting …
How can one get from one kingdom to the other??? – (vv. 1-7) – by unity of GRACE AND FAITH, & WORKS – (v. 9) … It’s not that these are equal, for grace is uncreated and infinite, faith other the other hand is limited, but can grow; good works is what flows out of authentic faith … We all know works cannot and will not earn us this great treasure – It’s a pure gift – but those who receive this gift do good not evil, those who receive helps others in need, and are not wrapped up in self-centered faith … We are not saved by good works, but FOR GOOD WORKS – (v. 10) …
“We are created to have a personal relationship with our Creator to walk step in step with His will … It’s a relationship built on discipline, obedience, self-denial, and struggle … The whole reason of being created was to serve Him and others we called to help and to serve just like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ …”

I love helping my church Saint George Greek Orthodox Church and it’s Learning Centre providing security for the kids and staff is a good calling by our Father in heaven … Helping the church in teaching the older kids in Sunday school has been very meaningful especially to me … Finally, my blog and studies are the most meaningful to me as far as my ministry goes …
