Good evening. Great is His faithfulness.
Matthew 7:21-22
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
This is seen as THREEFOLD TESTIMONY of the Diety of Christ: 1- He calls Himself Lord- this is a direct reference to the divine name "YAHWEH" of the OT - 2- Jesus speaks to the WILL OF MY FATHER, which He fully knows and shares - 3- As judge, Christ is revealed as God, for only God can execute true judgment. IN THAT DAY is referring to the final judgment.
The devotional once again focuses more on Judas, but I will not. Judas is easy to figure out the constant overthinking of Judas in the devotional is making me wonder why. Judas like Cain is an example of rejecting God's love and mercy rather than excepting it. I'm going to focus on the message of this passage, yes I'm still reading from the devotional but this one wasn't my favorite and if you tune into my video you will know more and why.
What I find interesting about this passage here in Matthew 7:21-22: is that the number 721 - The KJV translates Strong's G721 in the following manner: Lamb i.e. Christ (28x), lamb (2x). ἀρνίον arníon, ar-nee'-on; diminutive from G704; a lambkin:—lamb.
Tonight's focus is on Christ and receiving the prize, and the prize is Christ, He is the Rock and which we build our foundation on and should always be the main focus. Christ is a relationship and through that relationship we learn Christ and He learns us. It's a relationship built on trust and through experience meaning God alone is not an emotion or even a feeling rather the relationship is built off work and a solid foundation. A theologian is measured not by his studies but by experience a true living relationship with God a relationship built on by work as well as struggle.
John 21:15
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“Simon,sonof Jonah,[fn]do you love Me more than these?”He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him,“Feed My lambs.”
Prayer Focus from the Devotional
Thank God that He has already picked you for His team. Tell Him you want to know HIM even better. Praise Him for the opportunity to know Him personally.
Moving Forward from the Devotional
If you haven't full trusted Jesus with your life, pray something like this: I disagree with this devotional and it's prayer choice. Instead we end with the Lord's Prayer it's Scripture. I will read the one from the devotional but I will not pray that.
9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be Your name.10 Your kingdom come.Your will be doneOn earth as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts,As we forgive our debtors.13 And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.[a]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13
Why I chose Orthodox Christianity. Orthodoxy means right belief or purity of faith. Catholic means universal I’m not referring to Catholicism, I believe in the one Holy Catholic (Universal) and Apostolic Church as Christ as the Head, but Christ hasn't returned so there is no one universal Church yet. Protestant means to "protest" what are they protesting God's true doctrine? When I look at the Catholic Church I disagree with them basically implying they are the universal Church when in fact Christ hasn't returned for His Second Coming. Orthodox Church stands firm that there is only One Church, One Holy Catholic (universal) Church and Apostolic CHURCH CHRIST AS THE HEAD, by my own reading of the Bible this is correct and this is why I keep my prayers inline with the Apostolic doctrine, let the Bible teach and preach itself.
1 Corinthians 9:10
Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.
Shalom, Shalom ...
Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
